Alice In Wonderland is one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2010. We’ve already seen one trailer for it, and last night Spike TV released yet another look at the movie. Taking the original teaser trailer and adding a few more new moments.
Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have once again joined forces for this one, and they are one unbeatable dream team it seems when it comes to movies that go beyond the norm that people still want to come out and watch. Depp plays the Mad Hatter in this one.
Alice In Wonderland has always been one of my favorite stories as a child, and I know I am for one very excited to see this new update of a classic story and movie. Some remakes are okay in my book, and this is one of them. Check out the trailer for Alice In Wonderland below. It is set for release on March 5, 2010. Will you be tripping down the rabbit hole to see this one?
Fans of Twilight are impatiently waiting for the premiere of their next movie next month. Things are starting to go crazy in the world of Twilight, and the fans want New Moon now. Not yesterday, but right now. They don’t have long to wait, and until the movie is out, they will find their fix somehow. The three main stars are already starting to make the circuits of talk shows. Yes, already. Just this week, we have three new character posts for the three main stars of the movie - Jacob, Bella and Edward.
Great looking posters for sure. I’m not much of a Twilight fan, but even I have to admit Taylor Lautner is a cutie, and he’s been seen out on the arm lately of another cutie, Taylor Swift. Yes, she is 19, but no one seems to be saying anything about her running around with a 17 year old now!
Check out the posters below. What do you think? Are you ready for New Moon?
Another Monday has arrived, and this weekend, we had a bit of a shocker at the box office. This should have been the weekend Saw VI ruled the box office with just a little less than week to Halloween. That series of movies always tops the box office in its first weekend of its release, but that didn’t happen this year. A movie that has already been out in theaters a month managed to come from the bottom of the charts in that time to finally reach number one.
Paranormal Activity is getting fantastic word of mouth advertising, and with Halloween just a few days away now, more and more are going to see just what the movie is all about. The movie managed to pull in $22 million this weekend. Paramount is already talking sequel for this one. As for Saw VI, it managed to come in second place with $14.8 million at the box office in its opening weekend. The other two releases this weekend, Astro Boy and Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, came in far down the charts at sixth and eight places.
As for the week ahead, there is one movie hitting theaters this weekend, and it is making an early release on Wednesday. Michael Jackson’s This Is It finally hits theaters, and something tells me we will see it hit number one this weekend. The soundtrack to the movie is also being released this weekend. As for DVD releases, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and new music from Creed also hit store shelves this week. Check out a full list of releases below.
Looks like it is a bit of a Bon Jovi weekend here on Celebrity Today. Yesterday, I talked about their new world tour and the premiere of their documentary on Showtime, When We Were Beautiful, which is also the title of one of the songs on their new album The Circle. I admit fully to being a fan of this rock band from Jersey. I have been a fan of theirs practically since the beginning. I remember hearing Runaway on the radio, even if I was only eight years old. Twenty-five years, Jon Bon Jovi has worked hard to put his vision out there with his band mates. He is their leader, and this band was his vision.
In this documentary that first premiered at Tribeca back in April, takes us into their lives for a brief period of time at the end of their last tour for their record Lost Highway. We see them on the road and on stage as they talk candidly about their lives and what it is like to be in a rock band. Jon himself calls it a lonely existence. He and his bandmates are taken from their families each and every tour for weeks at a time, and at the end of the day all they want is to go home to their families. Jon is married and the father of four kids. His band mates have families of their own.
When We Were Beautiful takes us on a journey through their lives, and we see being a rock star isn’t all glamour and perfection. It is a lot of hard work, and Jon Bon Jovi is the one in control of it all. An intimate look at the man and his friends that have been by his side from the very beginning, and if it was even possible it made me love this band I already love even more.
If you’re a fan of Bon Jovi then this news will be exciting for you. The band is getting ready to release its next studio album in the weeks ahead. Looks like those in the UK will get that first on November 2nd with a US release date of November 10th. On Thursday, the band announced from the parking lot of the new arena being built in their home state of New Jersey that they were getting ready to embark on a world tour that would take them around the globe for the next two years. They will start off on the west coast in February and then go around the world with even a residency at the O2 in London thrown in there somewhere.
Their first single from The Circle, We Weren’t Born To Follow, has been climbing up the charts, and it was even picked as the song for Major League Baseball’s post season, which is soon coming to a close. Jon Bon Jovi’d documentary that follows what this band has been about for the last twenty-five years is premiering on Showtime tonight, October 24th, and the documentary itself will be included as a DVD released with the new album. The documentary gives us a look at just what the life of this rock star has been for the last quarter of a century. Check out Bon Jovi.com for tour dates and check out the trailer for When We Were Beautiful below.
On this Friday, I have two all new movie trailers for you. The first is the next movie based on a book writtenby Nicholas Sparks. Yes, the man behind The Notebook and A Walk To Remember. Dear John is his next one, and it will star GI Joe hunk Channing Tatum and Mamma Mia star Amanda Seyfried. In this one, Tatum plays a soldier on leave who falls in love with a young college student. Expect the usual heartbreak here. This one is set for release on February 5, 2010.
As for the second trailer, it comes from a new animated feature out of Australia with the voice talents of Eric Bana among others. This one tells the story of two unlikely people that become penpals and friends. This one was released in Australia back in April, but it looks like we might get a US release in the near future.
Yes, folks you’re reading right. The CW has decided to give full season orders to two of its series, Vampire Diaries and the all new imagining of Melrose Place. It is no real big surprise that Vampire Diaries was picked up. That series has had the best opening of the season with its numbers since its premiere. Vampires are still a hot ticket, and this one with a set of brothers bouncing back and forth is getting watched.
As for Melrose Place, this one has been struggling since the very beginning, but it isn’t dead in the water yet. The network is hoping that the return of Heather Locklear will make things pick up for the series in a big way, so they are putting faith into the series and picking it up now before her return in November. She is set to make her first appearance on the November 17th episode.
What do you think? Are you ready for more Vampire Diaries and Melrose Place?

Yet another American Idol alum is releasing their album soon, and this one will be the first for Adam Lambert, who came in second during this year’s competition. The song leaked earlier this week, but the official video for Time For Miracles hit the Internet on Tuesday. This one is from the soundtrack for 2012, which is set for release on November 13th.
In this month’s issue of Details Magazine, the singer has a sexy photoshoot that might be worth a look. Lambert came out as gay shortly after the American Idol competition ended this year. His record, For Your Entertainment, is set for a November 23rd release date. For more of the racy Details photo shoot, go here.
There’s a feeling of entitlement [with the fans] because they voted to get us where we are. But you know what? I am responsible for what I created on the show – you voted for what I created, and thank you, but I created it, you didn’t.
It seems no matter how old he gets Sylvester Stallone is still trying to act like a man half his age. He isn’t a thirty year old anymore, but it is admirable how he doesn’t seem to quit really. Even if Rocky Balboa was hard to watch, and I couldn’t even force myself to watch the last Rambo film. I think they might even be making another one of those, but I could be mistaken. His latest movie,
The Expendables, won’t be released until August 2010, but we now have a trailer for it, and it looks like a Rambo movie but he decided to get a little help from his friends. The movie co-stars some of the biggest names in action movies and most of older Hollywood with Jet Li, Jason Stratham, Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts all featured in the trailer that was released this week. In this one, a team is sent in to a South American country in order to overturn a dictator. However, from the trailer, it looks like not everything goes as planned. Check out the full trailer below. Another Monday morning has arrived, and it looks like the cute and wild and the not so cute battled it out for the top of the box office. As it turns out, the cute came out on top with Where The Wild Things Are topping the box office. That movie managed to make $32.5 million in its opening week. Next up behind it was Law Abiding Citizen where Gerard Butler went mad after his family is killed. The other big new release this weekend was The Stepfather, and it managed to come in 5th place. The big surprise still manages to be Paranormal Activity, and it came in third this week behind the top two!
In the week ahead, we have four new movies hitting box offices including Hilary Swank’s Amelia, Astro Boy and the next movie in the Saw series just in time for Halloween. On DVD, fans of Transformers finally get Revenge of the Fallen on DVD. Hitting store shelves also on DVD is the final season of The L Word and a repackaged edition of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. On the music front,we have new music from Tim McGraw among others. Check out below for a full list of new releases.
