Knight Rider Episode 1-8

knightrider1-8.jpg

TV.com: Knight of the Zodiac - The team attempts to take down a money laundering operation in Las Vegas. Billy comes along on this mission and finds himself sidelined in his own operation. Dr. Graiman has his own problems when an ex lover comes to headquarters to assess how environmentally friendly the operation is.

-

Recap & Review: Knight Rider rides onto our screen for another episode before taking a bit of a break next week. This week’s episode starts with Mike arresting a man that we find out is involved in a big heist. The heist is so special that no one has met before, and their identities are only known as signs of the zodiac. Once they find out more details of the heist, Knight Industries sends his Mike in place of the man only known as Virgo. He takes Billy as back up on this one, and they go to Vegas for the meeting. The location was moved from Anchorage, but Mike has no problems with the change in locale.

He and Billy arrive in Vegas, and they go straight to their hotel called Corsica.Mike is able to pass initial fingersprint inspection thanks to KITT changing his fingerprints before he goes in. However, there is a problem. The head of the operation, Capricorn,  has an ID for the real Virgo. The Capricorn is Steve Cordoba, and he is the head of the security at the hotel they are, but he has been let go. He wants one last heist before he loses his source of place to launder the money they make. A big heist. Mike is able to get around the ID with the help of KITT, and after a bit more time Steve finally confides in Mike.

The last big job will involve the casino. Mike tells Carrie back at headquarters. They are trying to figure out why he would want to rob his own hotel right before he is officially let go. KITT has an idea though. The car suggests that the man is looking to make himself look good by stopping the robbery so he can keep his job. He can always form a new team if he needs it. At the next meeting of the zodiac group, they are told their plans and when it will happen. The heist will happen that day. The score is $30 million dollars divided up by the group.

The heist goes down perfectly, and Mike is the last to arrive at the drop site. Turns out Mike’s cover wasn’t as good as he thought. Virgo ends up being the fall guy for the heist. The rest of the team is able to find Mike’s location, and Billy takes KITT. They are able to rescue him.

As for Billy, he has his own things happening this week. While waiting around the hotel to see what happened to Mike, he mets a woman at the blackjack table. The two connect, but she leaves. He calls Zoe back at headquarters for advice. Once he tells about it, she helps him find the woman’s room and sends a little help. Looks like Billy is getting some vacation sex. The next morning, it looks like he might get played though. Courtney tells him she lied about being wealthy. She owes student loans, and she lost her tuition money at the tables. He tells her he hopes she isn’t lying to him, and he will check. However, he goes for the money. He also wins.

Charles also has some things to deal with in a woman from his past. An ex girlfriend who seems quite interested in KITT. She keeps asking him about the car, and he finally gives in and tells her some about KITT. Not all though.  In fact, what he does tell her isn’t even true. However, he’ll still meet her in her hotel room for sex. This episode was fun. Billy got the girl. Mike and him completed the mission. No awkward tension between Mike and Sarah to make things too interesting. Just a simple fun episode. Bad news here is no new Knight Rider episodes until after the holidays. Knight Rider will return with all new episodes in January. What did you think of this week’s episode of Knight Rider? For daily tv listings, check here.

Knight Rider Episode 1-7

kr_106_1.jpg

TV.com: I Wanna Rock & Roll All Knight - Knight Industries tracks a criminal couple and discovers the felons have ties to the national congressional race. As things get hairier, Mike and KITT must step in to save Agent Rivai.

-

Recap & Review: There are changes on the horizon. Three characters are being written out of the series after the thirteenth episode - Alex, Carrie and Charles. Those characters are involved with the goverment side of things on the series. A change will also be made in how the series is run. No more bad guys after the government. The focus will turn to the Knight Foundation helping the little guy, much like the original series did when it aired. These changes are hoping to bring in more viewers. However, many viewers have been thrown off by how high tech KITT is. I’ve even had my own issues with it, especially after last week when KITT showed real emotions at his possible destruction.

This week’s episode is full of sexual tension, especially in the beginning. Zoe and Billy have taken to spying on Mike and Sarah in the awkwardness of their relationship. That is where the episode begins. However, Alex quickly sends them on a new mission after a couple that is looking to destroy things. This couple apparently has ties to the Congress, but we really don’t know just how close those ties are until Sarah and Mike track them down. One half of the couple is the daughter of a congressman, and the two are ordered not to shoot her. The congressman thinks his daughter is being brainwashed and is being held against her will. Patty Hearst and Stockholm Syndrome are also mentioned. However, Mike doesn’t buy it, especially after he is shot by the young woman.

The two are able to stop the first incident, and it is the second where things get interesting. The male half of the couples takes Nikki hostage. Mike and Sarah rescue her, and she plays the role of the scared daughter quite well. She convinces her father, but not anyone else. She is taken into custody, but somehow in the process she uses the Congressman’s cell phone to download and hold important classified files that can put everyone at Knight Industries in danger if they become public knowledge. Everyone warns Carrie, but it is too late. Nikki is rescued by her lover, and they take Carrie with them along with the files. Mike needs to step in to find her with KITT’s help.

Using technology and satellite imagery, they are able to find Carrie, and she is still alive. This sends Mike into action and after the couple of Max and Nikki.  They find the couple, and Billy is able to stop the file transfer. However, the couple looks they want to take KITT as another token. However, KITT has a way to stop that. Carrie is saved, and all is well once again. As for the sexual tension in this episode, it returns as both Billy and Zoe and Sarah and Mike have their own moments to end this week’s episode.

This series is fun and cheesy. That is the only way I can describe it. It isn’t great television, but something about this series has me hooked. I am wondering about the changes though. Will they change the show too much? It is possible, but going back to the formula that made the original series so great might be just what this series needs to stick around. Knight Rider Episode 1-6

livingdead1.jpg

TV.com: Knight of the Living Dead - The team must discover the identity of a murderer inside their own organization, when the body of a Tech is discovered. Mike and Sarah have their own concerns when they are stranded on a commercial flight and KITT’s self-destruct program has been initiated.

-

Recap & Review: Halloween comes a week late to the Knight Rider Foundation. This episode was set to originally air last week, but Barack Obama bought air time in Knight Rider’s time slot. For Halloween, Mike is set to scare his friends anyway he can. We see him first get the crew back at the office while he and Sarah are flying back from a mission. His second prank is on Sarah, and these two share another awkward moment together with KITT’s assistance.

Mike seems to have more plans for his favorite holiday, but trouble hits headquarters first when Zoe and Sarah’s dad find a dead body in the computer room. After a little more looking around, it is determined they have an internal breech. One that might cause Zoe and Sarah’s dad their lives. The last thing Mike and Sarah see before their connection breaks is gunfire.

At headquarters, chaos breaks out. There is an emergency lockdown initiated by someone inside. When this happens, Sarah and Mike are cut off from communicating with headquarters, and their flight is choppy. Mike and Sarah want to communicate with their contacts at the Foundation, but the only way to do that is to get around KITT’s protocol. Sarah tries to do that, but it almost gets the two of them killed when an air pocket lets KITT free. Sarah knows there is a backdoor in KITT, but this doesn’t set to well with the car. It actually seems to bother him.

Once Charles wakes up, he tells his co-worker that KITT’s self destruct program has been initiated by whoever broke into the computer mainframe. It will go off in less than thirty minutes, and there is no way to stop it from going off before it times down. This puts Mike and Sarah in danger in their plane. They are nowhere near any place that they can land. Sarah is able to reestablish contact with headquarters, and she is told about the self destruct. The only person that can shut down the self destruct is the person that put the program in motion.

Sarah tries to find a way around it, but there is nothing she can do. KITT is the first to suggest that they dump him out of the plane before he explodes. They decide to save KITT’s files and download them back to headquarters. While they are working  on this, they are still trying to find out who started the process in motion. They find out it was Carrie, as it is her voice that comes out during their search. She is asked for her weapon, but she is less than willing to give up her gun.

Meanwhile up in the plane, Sarah decides to try to remove KITT’s self destruct manually. KITT knows that once his data is uploaded, he will lose his memories. This is one smart car. They have made a KITT that actually has feelings. Chaos is still going on at headquarters, as they find out Carrie is being set up by someone just before the killer sets fire to one of the rooms. Graiman proves that Carrie is innocent.

While they are sending KITT’s files, KITT finds information on KARR. Michael thinks something is weird about everything that is happening, and he tries to stop Sarah from uploading KITT’s files. It is is too late though, and the team keeps looking for the killer. In their search, they find Zoe tied up, and there is a fake Zoe taking the files downloaded from KITT. They are able to capture the killer, and just moments before the self destruct will go off, they are able to stop it.

This episode was a bit chaotic. KITT having feelings is a bit disturbing to me. It reminds me of Star Trek and Data. Fans of that series will understand that connection. The entrance of KARR also doesn’t set well with me because if I remember correctly it did use to be another car and not some kind of cyborg. This series seems to be changing things from the original series, and it might be changing things a bit too much. What did you think of tonight’s episode of Knight Rider? Knight Rider Episode 1-5

kr4.jpg

TV.com: Knight of the Hunter - Mike must stop an ex-military officer from blowing up a dam and finds help from a new friend. Meanwhile, Billy learns how to take care of himself.
-
Recap & Review: Fans of this series can breathe a little easier this week. The series has been picked up for a full season order by NBC. The series had four episodes ordered last week, and now another nine were ordered earlier this week. The series isn’t doing the best in the ratings, but it is doing better than some other series on NBC. One series that is getting low ratings on NBC is My Own Worst Enemy. That one is already in danger of being canceled. Knight Rider is just a fun show, so that might be part of what is saving it. Another part is that so much was put into this series, the network might not want to let it go just yet. Whatever the reason, Knight Rider is sticking around.

This week’s episode opens with a normal day. Michael is in KITT, and Billy has his own problems back at headquarters. Michael is sent on a new case after a military AWOL. During this mission, Michael will be on his own as he infiltrates this man’s organization to stop him from using explosives he is trying to get in his control. He won’t even be able to contact KITT. Michael finds the man’s second in command, and he gets into a verbal altercation with the man. KITT tries to stop him from going after the man, but Michael is set in going forward. He ends up captured by the group, and he is beat by the woman of the team. She is the girlfriend of the leader.

Michael appears to work his way into the group, and he contacts KITT briefly. He has cut all communication off with the team back at headquarters. When he comes out of the room where he went to talk to KITT, the woman is waiting for him, and they get into another fight. This time Michael gets the upper hand. That night, Michael tries to learn more about this group. He is trying to get to the leader’s tent. Once there, he and KITT hack the man’s computer with Sarah’s help from back at headquarters.

KITT finds traces of explosives, so Michael goes to investigate these. He is met by the woman, and he finds out she is on the inside from another agency. Cooperton finds out she and Michael are both there on missions, and sends men after them. KITT gets them out just in time, but he hits a mine when transforming. This sends the car crashing into a ditch, and KITT forces Michael to leave him behind. KITT goes to work on preparing himself, while Michael heads to the river since it is their best way out. However, the best way out involves a big drop to the river. They do make it out of the river, and they decide to cuddle for warmth. Cuddle naked. This leads to a bit more than cuddling, and Sarah gets the imaging of it from KITT as well.

The next morning, KITT repairs himself enough to evacuate Michael and Cassandra. He is still damaged. Cassandra doesn’t think much of KITT, but he changes her mind when he speeds up. He is able to catch up to Cooperton and his group. They look to be headed to a dam to blow it up. This sends everyone into action. Michael jumps from the front of KITT to the back of the truck to cut the bomb lines. He does this with help from Sarah and Billy. They find out the team is set to do a gold heist, but with KITT’s help they are captured.  Cassandra shares another moment with Michael, and after Billy improves on his lessons Zoe asks him to take her out, and Sarah is surprised on her birthday by Michael. He told Cassandra he was with someone else.

This episode was good. I won’t just say that because my current home town was featured in the episode. There is something about this series that I really like. Maybe its the fun factor. Maybe it is the whole back and forth between Sarah and Michael. I love this show though. I’m glad to see it sticking around for the rest of the season. What did you think of this week’s episode? No new Knight Rider next week. To find out when it is back, What’s Hot On TV will tell you.

Knight Rider Episode 1-4

1-4knightteaser.jpg

TV.com: A Hard Day’s Knight - Mike finds himself poisoned during an undercover operation, which leaves him with only three hours to live before his nervous system shuts down. To procure the antidote, Mike must fake the assassination of a billionaire tech mogul.

-

Recap & Review: Knight Rider is one of those series currently on the bubble. Late last week, NBC announced that it was ordering four more episodes of the series, but it has not been given the full go ahead for a full season. NBC is looking to win over the young male audience with this series. There are also interesting rumors that we might see the return of KARR to Knight Rider. KARR is the evil counterpart to KITT.  This week’s episode starts with an obviously exhausted Michael heading onto a mission. However, the mission looks to be in trouble because another organization looks to be on the same case. A case that looks to be a complete trick. Someone wanted to distract all parties involved.

The real deal is going down elsewhere with Michael. We learn that both him and KITT are in disguise. Michael takes the man back to headquarters, and when he won’t talk to anyone, Michael uses KITT as his own theme park ride to get him to talk. Seems that it works. Michael needs to pick up an item, but he also needs to get ready to take Sarah on a date. When they find out the location of the item, they have almost no time to get there on time. Once again, Michael goes into minor disguise. Mostly just his voice. This is how he will be identified as the man they need to meet. However, this puts Michael in danger. Pretending to be another man makes him the target of a disease. He has three hours to follow their instructions before his nervous system shuts down.

Michael once again returns to base, and the team starts to work on a cure for him. He needs to go a tech meeting to deliver this item. However, the longer the time that passes, the more ill he becomes. KITT is even to estimate the exact time of Michael’s death. In a moment, he passes out and the package is taken from him. He then follows the woman. This isn’t easy to do in his condition. Luck is on his side because it turns into a car chase, which KITT can control on his own. At the end of the chase, Michael finds the woman dead. The team wants Michael to kill the assassin at the tech symposium. Time is starting to run short though. He is also under the effects of a truth serum.

He reaches the meeting, and he is given contact lenses that are some kind of tracking device to help him find the person he needs to kill. He finally finds his victim, a man that head a multi-million tech company. He shoots the man, and then he runs. The cops are after him, and his condition is only worsening with each moment that passes.  KITT disguises himself as a cop car, and then gets them out of the area. The murder seems to be faked though. The head of the team sends Sarah to help Michael, even though she has no cure. KITT is finally able to find the man that poisoned Michael. It might be too late though because Michaels’s heart stops just after he tells Sarah he loves her. She reaches KITT, and then works to revive him. She is successful with the help of KITT.

Michael then goes back on his mission to find the man and his possible cure. They finally find him, but he has a surprise for them. A machine gun that can destroy KITT. After some quick work, the team arrives and they take the man into custody.  The man destroys the cure, but Sarah is able to get enough for KITT to analyze and make another sample of it. This saves Michael. Sarah and him share a moment while he recovers, but he is soon back to work on another case.

For some reason, I really like this series. It isn’t amazing television, but it is fun to watch. It has hot cars, great action, great looking people, and all of this just makes this a good one for me to watch. I find myself just being able to relax and enjoy a good show. As a fan of the original series, the possibility of KARR showing up excites me as well. Can we get Michael Sr. popping in too please? Just once. That’s all I ask!

Review: Knight Rider Episode 1-3

nup_131961_0041.JPG

TV.com: Knight of the Iguana - Michael and Zoe go undercover as a couple to take down a terrorist cell in Baja.

-

Review: This week’s episode of Knight Rider starts on a fun note as Michael joins with another of the workers from the Foundation to let off a little steam. A watergun fight ensues before the team gets their next care, a terrorist out of Baja. This one involves water, which we learn Michael is not too fond of. He needs someone that surfs on the case with him, and that someone turns out to be Zoe.

She’s a bit eccentric, and this gives Sarah some cause for concern. However, the two are sent in with the cover of a couple honeymooning. The two arrive on scene, and Zoe tries to keep it real and play up her role as a new wife. This doesn’t make Michael comfortable at all, especially once she comes out in a tiny bikini. The two are looking for Agent Turner, and KITT happens to key in on the agent’s homing beacon. However, Michael soon learns that the homing beacon has turned into a targeting device.

KITT, Michael and Zoe are attacked, and the car ends up hit by a missile. The car is sent into the ocean, but KITT is able resurface and come out undamaged. The car is also waterproof. That night, Michael sleeps in KITT outside, even after Zoe offers for him to share their suite. The next morning, Zoe and Michael continue to search for the missing agent. They don’t find him though.

They do find trouble. At least Michael does. He is saved by a man, but after drinking for a few hours Zoe and Michael think they might have found their terrorist group. However, that night their focus isn’t on work as it appears Michael and Zoe sleep together. Something that Sarah catches onto quickly the next morning when she shows up to implant something into KITT. This leads to a discussion between Sarah and Michael.

The team heads to the beach, separating. Sarah and Billy stay with KITT as he searches for Turner.  Zoe and Michael meet with the man from the day before. He takes Michael out and the two of them talk. However, the man doesn’t seem to keen on Michael as he punches him and leaves him to ride a killer wave. Sarah and Billy find Turner, and it appears his wife is held hostages. Billy looks into the trailer they are all in, and he finds out that the weapons they have is the next generation of US missiles.

The team returns to base, but not for long. As soon as Turner uses his codes to bypass custom, KITT is set into attack mode with Michael, Zoe and Sarah inside. They all find out the terrorist group is headed to a nearby nuclear plant. If they use the missiles in their position here, it could be an event worse than Chernobyl. Michael takes on the group on his own, sending back Sarah and Zoe until KITT and Sarah decide to return. The man gets the missile off, but KITT is able to deter it. However, this sends the missile back towards him. He is able to get out unhurt though, and the team has stopped the attack on the power plant. Another good episode for Knight Rider. This series is low-key action packed fun that you don’t need to be a brain surgeon to enjoy. What did you think?

Review: Knight Rider Episode 1-2

nup_131723_0128.JPG

TV.com: Journey to the End of the Knight - To stop a weapons smuggling operation, Mike infiltrates a drag racing gang with the assistance of a former Army buddy.

-

Review: Michael revisits what appears to be an old stomping grounds in order to try to infiltrate a racing gang. Apparently, he has raced before. When the two men aren’t where he goes, he goes after one of their women instead. This angers the two men, and before we know it we have a race between Michael and KITT against one of the men. Michael tries to make it look good, but it almost costs him the race. He has KITT step it up a notch, and this looks to cause some damage to the car.

Back at Knight Industries, the team goes to work to repair the car. They also discover there is more to what is happening with the car ring. The ring is a cover for smuggling. Michael needs to join the team, and he tries to make a deal with the brothers. The deal ends up going through, but Michael needs to get the two brothers a car exactly like the one they ruined during the race with Michael. The team finds one, but they have to steal it to get it.

Sarah decides to go in because the guy is into bikini models. Sarah dresses up the part, and gets in. However, things go wrong when the owner shows up. When he hits on her, she punches him and makes off with the car. The two are barely able to escape. Back at the bar, Michael leans on KITT with his arm, and a classified file on him comes up. Michael isn’t able to see much of it before the Chang brothers arrive.

When they return to Knight Industries, Michael can’t find the information he and Sarah saw. He also ends up in a fight with Sarah’s father before the two of them need to leave for the race. Sarah thinks Michael’s old friend might be involved in the smuggling. While Michael is racing, Sarah is following the meeting between the Chang brothers and their supplier. She is caught though.

Michael needs to bolt from the race as he tries to save her. However, she gets away and he is the one captured. He ends up buried to his neck in the middle of the desert. Sarah and KITT can’t find him, so she goes to Michael’s friend for help.  He leads her to where Michael might be, and she has to show him just what KITT can do. They find him, but Michael’s friend turns against him and Sarah.

They take KITT, and they plan to kill Michael. However, when the team brings KITT back online, a chase ensues, and Michael’s friend dies during it. This episode really didn’t pack as hard a punch as the premiere, but I still found myself enjoying it.  I want to know Michael’s history, but we might never know. What did you think of this week’s episode?

Review: Knight Rider Premiere

knightrider1.jpg

TV.com: A Knight In Shining Armor - A woman from Mike’s past—Kelli Haddigan, who he has no memory of—hijacks “The Package”, a taut man whose DNA holds a valuable cipher.

-

Review:  As a fan of the original Knight Rider, I had to check this one out. I missed the television movie last season, but it has been said you didn’t have to watch the movie to jump into this series. Knight Rider brings back our favorite car, KITT. He is all new and looking great. I remember going to Universal Studios in Hollywood just to see one of the KITT cars up close. In the first ten minutes of this series, KITT stole the show. He is high tech and for the future, our very own transformer. We see Mike Tracer trying to receive a package at a government. His partner, Sarah, is taken hostage, and he rushes to find her. This gives an action packed opening.

Once he finds her, the two escape, but there is a warhead on Mike’s trail. It hits them, and the two humans inside the car are waiting for some kind of solution. However, they need the files. She uploads them, while the search for a solution is still underway. KITT needs to speed up. That plan is thrown out, and he is then brought in hot. They shut off the oxygen to extinguish the fire. However, without oxygen the two people inside KITT will not survive. This leads the car to rush towards the doors to where the oxygen is.  The doors open just in time, and Sarah and Mike are saved.

Even though he nearly died, the main concern is that he just lost the package they needed. Mike is concerned about the men that were looking for him. Sarah thinks they know him from his time in Iraq, a time he doesn’t really doesn’t remember. Mike is sent after the package with KITT, and KITT is searching for the men that were after Mike. He is even looking at those that Mike works with. He finds the package, but he is intercepted by a woman from his past. She takes the package from him before leaving. Mike follows her, while KITT tries to find out who she is.

According to the car, Mike spent time with her in Lebanon. The day he saw her in Lebanon, he called Sarah and proposed. Mike has KITT watch and listen in at the other car, and he watches the woman slice off the thumb of the man before pushing him out of the car. Something that shocks everyone. Mike picks up the man, and we learn that he has the cipher to an unbreakable code in his DNA. Mike continues his pursuit of the woman, and he finds her at the subway. He convinces her that he has no idea who she is, just before he is shot by the FBI agent that works with the organization. She killed Mike Tracer, so that they will stop looking for him. He is now Michael Knight.

This show won me over in the first ten minutes. I think this is the first new series this year to do that. As a fan of Knight Rider, I am excited to see this new updated version and what is coming up next. KITT steals the show, and I think as bad as this sounds I think the car is my favorite character. He has emotions, and he can transform. Transformer fans will love that. I know I do. What did you think of this premiere of Knight Rider?
