TV.com: Just A Sliver - The Walkers encounter some conflicts in the schedules on Thankgiving; leaving Nora & Sarah alone to celebrate; Elizabeth endures a medical emergency that brings the family together.

-

Recap & Review: Here it is almost Christmas, and the Walker family is still celebrating Thanksgiving. Now no family get together with this family is ever easy, and this one is included with that. This is the first year everyone is making other plans for the holiday, and these plans do not include a family Walker dinner with Nora. Of course, no one knows they are not the only ones not going to spend Thanksgiving with their mom. Everyone has made other plans except for Sarah, and no one has told Nora. No one wants to tell her either, but they finally do. This doesn’t set well with her. In fact, she even tells Sarah not to pity her and spend the day with her.

However, a Walker family crisis ends the bickering over the Thanksgiving plans quite quickly. Elizabeth has taken ill, and it appears to be an issue with her liver from the medication she took when she was born. She needs a liver transplant, but she needs it from a parent. This means the family must know what they really didn’t want to know - who is Elizabeth’s biological father. Tommy calls both Justin and Kevin to come in for testing, and this just causes problems for the family. No one really wanted to know about this.

Tommy is Elizabeth’s father, and that is that. Justin feels that way, but it isn’t too clear how Kevin feels about it.  Once the tests are complete, we find out that it was indeed Kevin that helped bring Elizabeth and her twin into the world, and Kevin goes in for the operation that should help save her life. The whole family gathers around at the hospital, as the Walker family does when there is a crisis. Sal even returns from a trip he took to spend the holiday with other relatives. Everyone is there to support Kevin, Tommy and Julia as they all want Elizabeth to be alright. There is nothing that brings this family closer together than when one of them needs help. Nora even offered some of her liver to Elizabeth.

The operation looks to be a success. Elizabeth recovers, and Nora gets her Thanksgiving wish. She has all her family together at Thanksgiving. A nice simple holiday episode that showed the meaning of family. Holly and Rebecca had a small plot this week as well with Rebecca coming up with thoughts about her own birth father, David. This played only a small part of the episode.

My problem with this episode is the following though. Whenever this family needs huge family drama, they go to Tommy. His baby died. He had the affair. He had to fire Kevin. He wants to get rid of Holly, and now Elizabeth is sick. Why is it always Tommy? Yes, all the family members have their own drama to deal with, but when it comes to huge life and death drama it comes to Tommy. This is something I have noticed just recently, and it needs to change. There really wasn’t any need to make the little girl sick. It does seem that it had some huge purpose though. It might be something that starts a series of events, but we won’t know that until the series returns in January. The Walker family is taking the holidays off! Brothers & Sisters Episode 3-9

bros3-9.jpg

TV.com: Unfinished Business - Nora recruits the family to deconstruct her new charity money pit; Kitty & Robert take a huge & overwhelming step in adoption; Sarah takes a big risk with her new business partners by eating crows; Holly pushes Tommy to his limits when she does something in the winery without consulting him.

-

Recap & Review: It has been two weeks since the last episode of Brothers & Sisters. Last week, ABC aired the American Music Awards. This series always has full episodes with everyone getting their attention. Let’s jump right in. This week, we start with Nora in the new home she has purchased for her project. She is ready to move on with her project, but there is a big problem.

The house needs a lot of work, and the contractor wants to charge too much. Her great idea is to have the family do the work that will cost too much to be done. No one seems too keen on that idea though. They do help out though, but they complain every step of the way, especially Kevin. The job is definitely too much for them. At Walker Landing, Rebecca goes to a meeting with her mom, and she gives some good input. Holly is so pleased with her ideas that she offers Rebecca a promotion in the advertising at Walker Landing.

Tommy isn’t there to approve of it though, and when she goes by the house to tell everyone about it, none of them seem too keen on the idea. Justin makes a particularly hurtful comment that forces Rebecca to leave. Rebecca isn’t too sure about this job either, and she talks to her mother about it. She knows she doesn’t have any experience, but Holly assures her she does. Things don’t go bad until Tommy returns from his trip. He is obviously upset because he fired his own brother from the company, and now Holly has hired someone new in. These two are heading towards a battle. In fact, Tommy wants her out, and he goes to Sal for help to do that.

As for Sarah, she is moving forward with her job and helping her employers find more funding. There is a problem though. The man that comes to her home to meet with them is a man from her past, her not too distant past. He now works at another company, and he is in charge of her final future with her new job. Just by the look on her face, she isn’t too happy about this, and we can all understand why. Who would want their ex in charge of something important to them and their future?

The meeting goes well, but Graham wants to know more, and he wants dinner with Sarah. She can’t say no because it would hurt the company. At dinner, he gives her a deal for the company, but he also wants her back. When she goes to tell her bosses about the deal, they feel like she sold them out. She gets a job with the company, but they get virtually no say in the company at all. They definitely feel wronged here. After talking to Kitty and her mother at the home, she goes back to Graham the next day and she declines his offer. She then has to go back and get back in her employer’s good graces.

As for Kitty and Robert, the adoption is back on. The birth mother who was originally interested wants them to adopt her baby again. Robert has some reservations, but they finally move forward, and by the end of the season we should a new Walker baby in the family. Another amazing episode with this series. No one is left out. Everyone does something, and the show moves forward from week to week. What did you think of this week’s episode of Brothers and Sisters? For your daily tv listings, check here .

Brothers & Sisters Episode 3-8

bros3-8.jpg

TV.com: Going Once…Going Twice - Kevin overcompensate for his recent pay cut by buying a dream house for Scotty. Justin attempts to play matchmaker for Saul.

-

Recap & Review: The Walker family would be nothing without chaos in their lives. That is why every episode so much happens. This week opens up with the news that Scotty has received a promotion at work. He has now head chef. Plans go into high gear for a celebration party for him, but instead of Nora taking charge we see Sarah doing that. She will handle the party arrangements. This is new. Meanwhile, Nora and Saul have their own lives to lead, quiet ones, and Justin comments on this and the lack of a significant other for Saul.

However, the whole family gets involved when Sarah overhears Robert talking about Kitty on the speakerphone. Losing this adoption has sent Kitty into a depression. Soon all the Walker family is on the phone to help, and the plan is to get Kitty busy somehow. Kitty isn’t the only one upset. Something is wrong with Kevin as well, but he isn’t too willing to tell Scotty what is wrong. All he wants is food. Lucky for him he knows the head chef. He continues on to help his mother. She is looking at properties to buy one for her organization. However, when he goes to an auction with her, he surprises her and himself by buying a house for Scotty. A house his mother wanted.

Meanwhile, Sarah is still preparing for another Walker dinner party, and this one already has the makings of a disaster. Kitty comes over to go over Sarah’s proposal for her, pointing all its problems in the process. A man shows up way too early. Justin gets the idea to set up his Uncle with someone he knows from NA. No one thinks this is a good idea, but they all go along with it.  The guests for the party start to arrive. Kitty is still going over Sarah’s proposal. Nora arrives, and Paul already sticks his foot in his mouth when he mentions their similar cheating related pasts. When Saul arrives, things don’t go well, and Saul immediately has words with Justin. Sarah wants to have her own words with Justin as well.

As expected, another Walker party is ruined when Kevin presents the house he bought to Scotty. He doesn’t take the news well, and he leaves the table. This opens up things for Nora once again to explode at one of her children. She compares her male children to their father and how they handle things. She didn’t want to have Kevin’s help, and she knows Scotty didn’t want Kevin to buy a house without even talking to him. She then leaves the dinner party and leaves her children to do things on their own.

Kitty and Sarah are the first to patch things up after Kitty hears about the distraction plan. All she wanted was a hug. Saul isn’t even that mad at Justin. In fact, he doesn’t need to be set up. He has just started seeing someone. Kevin and Scotty also have a long talk about their finances and Kevin’s motivations behind buying the house.  The two work things out in the end as Kevin takes Scotty to open them a joint account.

This series is nothing but drama filled week after week, but it works out the best that way. This family has love at its core, so if things do come they always seem to work it out in the end. Everyone has a place in this family, and they all know how to help each other out when one of them needs it. However, even their best intentioned acts get them in trouble. Brothers And Sisters Episode 3-7

bros3-7.jpg

TV.com: Do You Believe in Magic? - Tommy & Julia celebrate their anniversary in a magical way; Justin & Rebecca have some issues in their relationship; Kitty’s puts the MaCallister’s chance to adopt in danger.

-

Recap & Review: Things are never easy when it comes to the Walker family. We learn that again and again with each new episode. Even an anniversary party for Tommy and Julia causes havoc in this family. The main focus of this week’s episode is the party, and the fact George Lafferty might actually consider telling Ryan about his family. He is on the fence with it, and Nora decides to sneak him into the party to meet the family as her date, Elton Richards. She wants to see the family that Ryan would be joining.

He does come with her to the party, and the family immediately has questions about this new man in their mother’s life. They all know everything about her, so a new boyfriend comes as a surprise. He isn’t her new boyfriend though. Everything is going well until Kitty shows up at the party and blows his cover. Everyone knows who he is, and this almost causes another Walker family blowout in the middle of the party.

They all hold back though shockingly enough, and it looks like it will all work out for the better until George meets Holly. A few stolen moments with her, and he has once again changed his mind. He doesn’t want Ryan to know. You have to wonder just what she said to him to change his mind. He leaves the party and Nora is left confused at his quick departure.

Opening mouths and saying things they probably shouldn’t is not only Holly’s problem this week. Kitty also opens her mouth when she shouldn’t. Her and Robert finally meet their birth mother. It turns out she is a surgeon in her second year, and her career is her main focus. This reminds Kitty of her own life, and her own choices. It forces her to question the birth mother on whether or not she may change her mind. This angers the birth mother, and she changes her mind on giving Robert and Kitty the baby when it is born.

This angers Robert, and even when Kitty tries to fix it there is no hope. The birth mom has already made arrangements to find a new couple. Robert is dealing with other issues as well though. Kevin as started to work for him, and the two clash. Kevin is made to fix a problem in which it looks like Robert might be having an affair. He isn’t, and Kevin uses an unorthodox way to work around the story. Something that also angers Robert. However, it works out fine in the end.

We also see issues with young love as Rebecca and Justin have problems saying their first I love you’s. This seems silly to fight over, but that is just what these two do. Complicating things seems to be this family’s job. Not only that, but Sarah is also adjusting to her new job and her co-workers. They are way more laid back than she is used to. They do figure out a way to work together through compromise.

With this series, there really is never a dull moment. If it isn’t one problem, it is another. This series has a great mix of personalities and characters that always guarantee a good time for all. The writers behind this series are some of the best on television. For daily television listings, check What’s Hot on TV .

Brothers and Sisters Episode 3-6

TV.com: Bakersfield - Nora tries to learn more about Ryan so she can beat Holly; Kitty & Robert wait for a birth mother

-

Recap & Review: Last wek, Justin and Rebecca decided to take matters into their own hands, and they brought their mother’s together to talk about the Ryan situation. Now we get to see what happens next. Nora has it in her head to go and meet the Lafferty family and talk to the husband and father to Ryan. Kitty comes to meet her mother just before she leaves, and she is waiting for a birth mother to pick her and Robert to raise her child. Nora decides to con Kitty into coming along with her.  It doesn’t take long for Kitty to figure out her mother is up to something, and when she finds out what it is the women have words. Kitty still goes along with her though.

As for Rebecca, she is trying to get the three Walker brothers back together in time for Justin to celebrate receiving his one year chip from NA.  Kevin and Tommy are still having their own problems from when Tommy fired Kevin from Ojai Food. The two still haven’t recovered from that, but Rebecca is hoping they can put aside their issues for one day for Justin’s sake. Sarah is working on finding herself a new job as well, and she might have found one that will let her work from home and be with her kids. The job interview process scares her though because it is something she hasn’t had to do in a long time. She moves forward though because she knows she needs to find a new job.

While Kitty and Nora are heading to Bakersfield, the two women hear that Robert is visiting the Middle East. He told Kitty he was going elsewhere. This bugs Kitty, and Nora suggests that he might have been hiding something. She then goes a step further and tells Kitty that Robert might be turning her against her family. This causes another argument between the mother and daughter.  Nora is comparing Kitty and Robert to her and William. This is a comparison that Kitty resents. In the middle of the argument, they are met by George Lafferty. This immediately quiets them both down.

As for the rest of the family, Sarah’s interview seems to go well until the very last question. She is asked what US President she would like to meet. Her answer draws some kind of red flag out for one of the men interviewing her, and their meeting quickly ends. Meanwhile, Tommy and Kevin show up just moments late to Justin’s own meeting, and when they meet out in the hall they end up in their own fight. This family always seem to be fighting lately.  The two brothers finally end up inside the meeting while Justin is speaking.

Nora does tell George Lafferty about the affair his wife had, and the man throws her and Kitty out. On the way back home, Nora has Kitty stop the car and she screams her frustrations to the air. While they are sitting, she checks her voicemail and gets the exciting news that a mother has chosen her and Robert to meet. They might have a baby on the way. The whole family comes together, and Justin once again takes matters into his own hands. He stages his own intervention with his brothers. He tells them to fake it until they can work out their issues. At least then the family can be around them. Justin has his own life to live, and Rebecca decides to move them to the next step, and she gives him her apartment key.

By the end of the episode, things start to fall into place. Sarah takes the job offer. Kitty tells Robert about the birth mother picking them, and George Lafferty comes to Nora. He is the one to figure out that Ryan might not be his son. The one thing about this series is that by the end of the episode everything is mostly settled, and we are left with one big bombshell to hold us over to next time. This week’s episode is really no different. We are closer to meeting Ryan Walker! What did you think of this week’s episode of Brothers & Sisters?  To know what’s on TV daily, check here .

Brothers And Sisters Episode 3-5

bros3-5.jpg

TV.com: You Get What You Need - Rebecca’s trust in her mother is put to the test when she discovers something about Holly; Kevin meets his conservative Scotty’s parents.

-

Recap & Review: If there is one thing about Brothers & Sisters, we know the Walker family never makes things easy. This family is next to complicated in the dictionary. Last week, Rebecca found the file on Ryan, and this week she goes to Justin with it. He is less than helpful though. Another one that is less than helpful is Kevin as Scotty makes plans for the visit of his homo phobic parents. They are coming to town now when they wouldn’t even attend their son’s wedding. Kevin’s focus is on becoming partner. He even has to move the family dinner to later. It does look like he is being named partner though. However, Kitty still wants him to take Robert’s offer. The oldest Walker is also moving forward with her own project after cleaning out the office last week. With a few helpful tips from Sal, she is on her way. As for Sal, he is bored during his retirement.

Scotty’s parents arrive, and Kevin stretches things. He says that he is inviting Kitty and Robert to dinner. He practically has to beg her to come to dinner. The family is off on their day together, while Nora is off to her meeting. The people seem less than enthused to talk to her when she has no resume to speak of. That is until she mentions who her husband was. This earns her what she calls a pity meeting. She even asks for Sarah’s help to make sure all is in line. Sarah is still looking for a job, but in today’s economy, she is having trouble finding a job. I can already see where this might head though. Will Sarah end up working with Nora? Meanwhile, Rebecca and Holly also work together, and Holly comes clean about her search for Ryan before Rebecca can confront her on the file she found. This brings mother and daughter closer together, and the two talk over wine about Justin and Rebecca’s relationship, and the lack of sex. During all of this, Kevin hears the news that he will not be named partner that year.

This makes things awkward when Kevin shows up at dinner because they are all congratulating him for becoming partner. Nora’s own dinner meeting gets heated. She ends up telling the man how unappreciated a stay at home parent is. We can see where Kevin gets his temper because he also has a few things to say to Scotty’s parents when they focus all of their attention on Kitty and Robert. With the day he had, he explodes and he ends up taking Robert’s job offer. Meanwhile, Rebecca returns home, and she is a little bit drunk. When she tells Justin about her mother and their talk, Justin has his own words to say, but instead of leaving, these two end up falling into bed together. The bed just happens to be the couch.

Kevin is having issues dealing with his losing his job. He returns home and he apologizes to Scotty about dinner and not finding Scotty’s parents a hotel. All he wanted when he came to dinner though was his husband and a hug. A cute and touching moment here with these two. I have really loved how they deal with these two on the series. I also enjoy Rebecca and Justin. They are trying to deal with so much that has been going on, but they have worked through it. They end up bringing their mothers together to work out their issues over Ryan. Rebecca gives Nora the file Holly made on him. The two women have it out, and Holly tells Nora maybe she should be the one to contact Ryan before she has a bad day.

This series has a way of turning chaos every week into great television. Sometimes predictable, but that is only because this family has their own way of dealing with things. I knew Nora would offer Sarah a job with her project, but Sarah didn’t take it. What has me curious here is Tommy and Sal. Will these two team up to get rid of Holly from Ojai Foods? This would make it easy for Sarah to return to the company. We will have to wait and see what happens. Don’t forget to check What’s Hot on TV  for your daily listings.

Brothers And Sisters Episode 3-4

113173_5507_ful.jpg

TV.com: Everything Must Go - Nora prepares for her new charity venture by making a clean sweep of all of William’s belongings; a time capsule brings together two estranged siblings; Robert interviews candidates to fill Kitty’s very big shoes, and Holly begins her own investigation into the whereabouts of William’s lost son.

-

Recap & Review:  Brothers & Sisters moves forward with its season tonight, and we’ve already had enough drama to last an entire season. The family and the family business is changing with Sarah and Sal both leaving Ojai Foods last week. Kevin is also changing as well, and it looks like he is set to make one major career change that could affect the entire Walker family. This week’s episode opens with Nora moving forward on her charity. In order to start it, she needs to set up a base of operations. This means she wants to take over William’s office. However, she wants nothing from his office. Her first idea is to put it in the garage, but the garage is full. This gives her next big idea - a garage sale. Everything must go, including William’s items. As for Rebecca and Holly, the mother pulls a sneaky move on her daughter and hires her on to work at Ojai Foods. This all happens as Kitty steps down from her own position with Robert’s campaign to publish her book.

Nora is going through everything and trying to get it ready for a sale. She is getting rid of every single thing that belonged to Willam. This upsets Justin, but Sal says it might be her way of coping with the man that betrayed her. Kitty is trying to help Robert find her replacement, but no one is standing out to him. None of them are her, and none of them have that thing. The family continues to go through the garage, and there is just so much stuff. It takes them down a trip of memory lane, especially a time capsule. When they find this, Sarah and Tommy have a moment that causes them to argue. The family keeps preparing for the sale, and this allows for a lot of little moments between the Walkers, including Kitty and Kevin. Holly is also moving forward on her search for the new Walker sibling, Ryan.

The sale begins, and things start to disappear. Robert and Kevin end up talking, and these two are like oil and water together. Kitty is pondering not publishing her book in order to keep her job with Robert. He fears that if she quits her job, they will lose the one thing that connects them. At least the one thing he thinks connects them. Once the sale is done, it finally hits Nora that all is gone. The sale and its item does finally bring some closer together. Sarah brings their time capsule to Tommy’s home, and Rebecca buys a painting that she realizes her mother painted years before. The two have a long way process ahead of them, and Rebecca needs to learn to trust her mother again. They start with Rebecca accepting a clerical job at Ojai.

As for Robert, this is where he has his big idea. He wants to hire Kevin to replace Kitty. Kitty doesn’t think this is such a bad idea. However, Kevin isn’t too keen on the idea. He is a liberal democrat, while Robert is a republican. Robert still thinks this is a brilliant idea. Nora is having issues dealing with what she has done with the sale, but Justin helps her with it by getting back one important item, a monkey William bought her on their honeymoon. At Ojai, Rebecca starts her new job, and she finds the file Holly has on Ryan. The lies never end. This episode was another ace in the hole for Brothers & Sisters. Once again, we see the family dealing with the legacy William left them. Each of them deal with it in their own way, and in the end it brings the family closer together. This series is always well acted with good writing. What did you think of this week’s episode? To find on what’s hot on TV before it airs, check out here .

Brothers and Sisters Episode 3-3

bros3-3.jpg

TV.COM: Tug of War - Two Walkers leave Ojai Foods. While on a dinner with Justin and a fellow soldier, Rebecca begins to question Justin’s Sobriety as he does not mention anything about his time in Iraq. Kevin faces uncomfortable questions from a very important client and the clients wife; meanwhile, Nora finds herself drawn to someone.

-

Recap & Review: This season of Brothers & Sisters has taken a bit of a turn. We know there is trouble at Ojai. We know that there is another Walker sibling out there, a son. We also know Holly is trying to find him for some reason. Justin and Rebecca are together, and they are out about their relationship. Everyone has their issues to deal with. This week, the episode starts with the focus on Ojai Foods. Holly and Tommy want to change the name of the company to Walker Landing. They also want to take over some orchards to make more wine.  This isn’t something Sarah and Sal want any part of it, so they walk out. Tommy and Holly are on their own.

In New York City, Kitty is looking at publishers and working on her book. She knows she will have to stop working for Robert if she does publish. As for the youngest Walker, Justin is now working at an Army recruitment center. However, his methods aren’t enjoyed by those he works with. Sarah goes to Kevin for help to beat out Holly and Tommy, but he isn’t happy about that. He is working on a huge client. He even asks Scotty to come along with him, but his boss asks him to not bring him along. He looks to agree because he knows with this deal his partnership at the firm is on the line. Kevin goes to Kitty for her advice on this, but he ends up talking to Robert about it.

Back at Ojai, Sal comes in and hands Tommy, Holly and Sarah his resignation. Sarah tries to change his mind, but she isn’t successful. Sal goes to Nora, and he ponders retirement. Nora then goes to Sarah, and the two talk about Ojai. Sarah looks like she wants to quit, but she is scared of being jobless with all her responsibilities. The Ojai matters continue on as the board meets. They seem to see things as Sarah does, but she shocks her family by speaking up in support of the changes Tommy wants to make.  She then tells Tommy she is quitting Ojai. Her support of him was her last act. She immediately goes to her mother, and she then proceeds to drink. Another dinner is also being had. Kevin is out with his boss and client, and he plays the straight man. He gets the account, but he having to play straight bothers him. Scotty supports him.  Kevin tries to talk to his boss following the dinner, but instead he decides to keep quiet.

Back at the recruitment center, Justin meets with a man he helped save in Iraq. He wants to invite him to dinner. Justin doesn’t want to go though. Later that night, he is distant with Rebecca, and it causes an awkward moment. She just wanted to go to dinner with him to meet this man. She does end up going, and it ends up being more than just a simple dinner. There is a small party going on when he arrives. Rebecca finds out that he is there because he helped save the man’s life. Justin doesn’t like being looked on as a hero. He actually leaves Rebecca there, and he heads to the nearest bar. Justin finally returns home, and Rebecca is upset. He tells her he went to the bar, but he didn’t drink. They argue, and Nora sees it. The next morning, she helps her son with one of their talks.

At Ojai, Tommy has a change of heart as well. He doesn’t want to change their company’s name. Sarah, Sal and Kevin all spend time together. These three are all at a turning point in their lives. As is Justin. He finally opens up about his life to Rebecca. The Walker’s are all growing up and changing. Everyone does this, but we’re able to see it happen on our screens each and every week. Each member of the family and extended family is dealing with their own lives, and we get to take a small peek at that. We grow with them. Brothers & Sisters is family drama at its best, and this was another strong episode for the series.

Review: Brothers and Sisters Episode 3-2

112965_8896_ful.jpg

TV.com: Book Burning - Tensions rise between Kevin and Nora; meanwhile Holly entrusts Rebecca with full access to her two million dollar trust which makes Rebecca question her mothers motive. Kitty & McCallister meet with a social worker who then joins them for a ‘typical’ Walker dinner. Holly begins to investigate a former Walker’s ‘Secret’!

-

Review: Last week, the third season of Brothers and Sisters started on an explosive note. Tommy fired Kevin from the family company, Justin announced to everyone that he was dating Rebecca, and apparently there is a Walker son out there in the world that no one really knew about. This week, the episode starts on a heated note as we catch Rebecca and Justin making out. He puts a stop to it because it is odd to him to move forward with a more sexual relationship with her. He ends going to Sarah with it, but she isn’t too thrilled to talk about her brother’s sex life.

Meanwhile, Kitty is preparing for the visit of the social worker to her home. She and her husband are trying to adopt, so she is in full on baby mode. However, that isn’t all she is in. She also ended up writing a book about the campaign and her husband Robert’s involvement in it. She never told him she did that though, but he finds out about it. He just doesn’t know that the book he wants her to learn more about was written by his wife. Kevin takes a brief look at the manuscript, and his immediate reaction is of shock.

Rebecca is clearly ready for more in her relationship with Justin when she suggests a night away together in Santa Barbara. However, this sets Justin into overdrive. He once again goes to Sarah, but Tommy butts in and tells him to cut the melodrama and get busy. Meanwhile, Rebecca goes to see her mother, and her mother surprises her by giving her full access to her trust fund with no strings attached. You would think this would be exactly what she wants, but it upsets Rebecca instead.

The next person to find Kitty’s book is her mother, and she has a reaction similar to Kevin. Kitty finally comes clean to Robert just a few moments before the social worker arrives at their home. The social worker questions them about their lives and marriage, and the two tell her different answers. Back in Los Angeles, Nora is more and more upset about her daughter’s tell all book. She shows it to Justin, and when he gets riled up they call Sarah and Sarah grabs Tommy. The four all read passages over the phone, and then call Kevin for him to join in.

They all want to bail on the family dinner, but Nora knows how important this adoption is to Kitty. They all go. However, they each get their digs in about the book on the way in. Everyone is mad at Kitty, which means this should turn into another explosive family dinner for the Walker family. As they begin to eat, they can tell Nora’s meal is less than perfect. Nora spills her water all over the social worker to prevent her from eating the meal, and the woman then leaves. Once she is gone, Nora lets loose on her daughter, which causes Robert to stand up and get protective of Kitty. He makes a speech that has me applauding him here. One of the best moments of this series so far in my opinion. The family leaves, and Kitty gives Robert her book.

We then jump to Rebecca and Justin at their hotel room. He finally tells her he isn’t ready to have sex, and she isn’t ready either. She tells him about the trust fund, and they then talk about sex. They both want their relationship to be different than ones they have had in the past. The next morning, Kitty shows up at home and talks to her mother. The two work through their issues, and Kitty shows her mother exactly what she thinks of her when she shows her the dedication at the front of the book.  Rebecca goes to Nora and she turns the trust back over to the Walker family.

As for Kitty and Robert, they passed their inspection with the social worker, even with all the problems. Robert also loves her book, but if she goes forward with publishing it she will have to quit working with him. The episode this week ends with Holly going on a search for Ryan, the hidden Walker herself. Another episode full of family drama and suspense. This series keeps building each and every week with events that fit this family perfectly. What did you think of this week’s episode of Brothers & Sisters?

A Look At - Brothers and Sisters

I remember when this season premiered two years ago, I wasn’t too sure about it. It was coming in and filling some pretty big shoes on Saturday night. It was taking the spot held by Grey’s Anatomy, and Grey’s was jumping to battle things out on Thursday nights. By the end of the premiere episode, the Walker family had won me over. They even had me in tears by the end of the episode. Not many series can do that in just one shot, but this one did. Brothers & Sisters follows the lives and times of one family living in Southern California, the Walkers. There are two girls and three boys.

In the opening weeks of the series, we see the family all deal with the death of the family patriarch, William Walker. Not only do they need to deal with his death, but once he is gone secrets come out. We learn he has had an affair for the last twenty years, and there is a sixth Walker child out there. For the next two seasons, we are led to believe that child is another Walker daughter, Rebecca. She comes in and settles in as a part of this crazy family. The problem is she likes her brother Justin a bit too much, and he develops a crush on her as well. That problem was fixed by the end of last season. A DNA test proved that she was not William’s daughter, and she began to date Justin. Talk about wacky family trees.

This family has it all. We have Kitty Walker who marries the man that was once running for President. We have Kevin Walker, who took advantage of the new gay marriage laws in California and married his partner Scotty. Tommy and Sarah run the family business. The two clash all the time, and they both have had their share of marriage problems. Sarah divorced in season two, and Tommy had an affair with his secretary when his wife left him to recover from depression after the death of one of their babies. Momma Walker isn’t out of the fun either. She’s been arrested for smoking pot, and she had a relationship with one of the campaign workers from the campaign of Kitty’s husband.

Season three premiered last weekend, and season two came out the week before that on DVD. This is a great DVD set for any fan of the series. The DVD includes all sixteen episodes from season two and some great bonus features. The DVD has both a blooper reel, deleted scenes, a look at the guest stars that make an appearance on the series. A little extra bonus are recipe cards containing some of the meals featured during the season. Dinner time at the Walker house is always an adventure. If something can go wrong, it will.

This is a perfect way to refresh your memory of everything that happened season two. There was a lot packed into just sixteen episodes. I am a huge fan of this series, and this season promises to be exciting. Now we find out that William Walker had another affair. Yes, he was a busy man! This time there might be another Walker boy. New episodes of Brothers & Sisters air Sunday nights on ABC at 10/9c. Check back here every Monday for my weekly review. Brothers & Sisters: The Complete Second Season is in stores now.
