Angelina Jolie seems to know how to pick the action thriller movies. Even though after the birth of her twins, she said she was thinking of giving up acting, she went back to work on a new film a few months after their birth. That movie was Salt, and it was a role that was rewritten specifically for her after Tom Cruise backed out of the project.
The first trailer for the movie hit earlier this week, in Russian. Now the English release has hit the Internet. The movie follows an agent that ends up accused of being a Russian spy. The movie follows her chase.
From the looks of the trailer, it looks like Angelina has another possible winner here. Right now, she’s in LA spending time with her children while partner Brad Pitt is premiering his latest movie, Inglourious Basterds, in Tokyo.
An all new feature trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar has just hit the Internet. The movie has been his on-going project for the last four years, and something he has wanted to bring to life since long before that. This one stars such names as Michelle Rodriguez, Sam Worthington and Sigourney Weaver.
Cameron has worked with Weaver before. Remember Aliens? This new trailer gives us a look at just what the movie is about. A group of soldiers head to a new world, Pandora, in order to mine a rock. The problem they face is the fact that the current inhabitants of the world are not too happy they are there.

Alice In Wonderland is one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2010. We’ve already seen one trailer for it, and last night Spike TV released yet another look at the movie. Taking the original teaser trailer and adding a few more new moments.
Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have once again joined forces for this one, and they are one unbeatable dream team it seems when it comes to movies that go beyond the norm that people still want to come out and watch. Depp plays the Mad Hatter in this one.
Alice In Wonderland has always been one of my favorite stories as a child, and I know I am for one very excited to see this new update of a classic story and movie. Fans of Twilight are impatiently waiting for the premiere of their next movie next month. Things are starting to go crazy in the world of Twilight, and the fans want New Moon now. Not yesterday, but right now. They don’t have long to wait, and until the movie is out, they will find their fix somehow. The three main stars are already starting to make the circuits of talk shows. Yes, already. Just this week, we have three new character posts for the three main stars of the movie - Jacob, Bella and Edward.
Great looking posters for sure. I’m not much of a Twilight fan, but even I have to admit Taylor Lautner is a cutie, and he’s been seen out on the arm lately of another cutie, Taylor Swift. Yes, she is 19, but no one seems to be saying anything about her running around with a 17 year old now!

If you’re a fan of Bon Jovi then this news will be exciting for you. The band is getting ready to release its next studio album in the weeks ahead. Looks like those in the UK will get that first on November 2nd with a US release date of November 10th. On Thursday, the band announced from the parking lot of the new arena being built in their home state of New Jersey that they were getting ready to embark on a world tour that would take them around the globe for the next two years. They will start off on the west coast in February and then go around the world with even a residency at the O2 in London thrown in there somewhere.
Their first single from The Circle, We Weren’t Born To Follow, has been climbing up the charts, and it was even picked as the song for Major League Baseball’s post season, which is soon coming to a close. Jon Bon Jovi’d documentary that follows what this band has been about for the last twenty-five years is premiering on Showtime tonight, October 24th, and the documentary itself will be included as a DVD released with the new album. The documentary gives us a look at just what the life of this rock star has been for the last quarter of a century. On this Friday, I have two all new movie trailers for you. The first is the next movie based on a book writtenby Nicholas Sparks. Yes, the man behind The Notebook and A Walk To Remember. Dear John is his next one, and it will star GI Joe hunk Channing Tatum and Mamma Mia star Amanda Seyfried. In this one, Tatum plays a soldier on leave who falls in love with a young college student. Expect the usual heartbreak here. This one is set for release on February 5, 2010.
As for the second trailer, it comes from a new animated feature out of Australia with the voice talents of Eric Bana among others. This one tells the story of two unlikely people that become penpals and friends. This one was released in Australia back in April, but it looks like we might get a US release in the near future.
It seems no matter how old he gets Sylvester Stallone is still trying to act like a man half his age. He isn’t a thirty year old anymore, but it is admirable how he doesn’t seem to quit really. Even if Rocky Balboa was hard to watch, and I couldn’t even force myself to watch the last Rambo film. I think they might even be making another one of those, but I could be mistaken. His latest movie,
The Expendables, won’t be released until August 2010, but we now have a trailer for it, and it looks like a Rambo movie but he decided to get a little help from his friends. The movie co-stars some of the biggest names in action movies and most of older Hollywood with Jet Li, Jason Stratham, Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts all featured in the trailer that was released this week. In this one, a team is sent in to a South American country in order to overturn a dictator. However, from the trailer, it looks like not everything goes as planned. Check out the full trailer below. For some reason, I’m really excited about this new movie coming to us from Ethan Hawke. He isn’t one of those actors you see everywhere. He does movies that seem to go against the norm, and he is quiet. Nothing wrong with either one. This month, he takes to the cover of Hobo Magazine, and this means things are starting to heat up for his next movie release. Daybreakers is a vampire movie that doesn’t sparkle. We all know vampires are huge right now.
In this one, Ethan Hawke plays a researcher in the not to distant future that is trying to find a cure for a disease that has turned the human race into vampires one by one. However, it looks like a discovery is made, and this leads to trouble and chaos. The trailer for this one was posted a few months ago on this blog, and it looks like an amazing dark movie. A second trailer for the next movie from Leonardo DiCaprio has been released by Paramount Pictures. The movie was originally set for release for sometime this fall, but the studio pushed it back to a release date in February. The movie will be released on February 19th to be exact, so remember to mark that date on your calendar.The movie co-stars Michelle Williams and Mark Ruffalo. That man has been busy working on his directorial debut with actor Orlando Bloom called Sympathy For Delicious. That one should hit the Sundance Film Festival after the new year.
However, Shutter Island comes to us from Martin Scorcese, and it tells the story of two US Marshals trying to solve the case of a woman’s disappearance on a quiet island. Check out the trailer for it below. What do you think? Will you go see Shutter Island when it hits theaters in February?
November and December seem to be shaping up for big movie months. In November, we have movies like New Moon and 2012 ready to hit theaters, and in December the long awaited next movie from James Cameron, Avatar, is ready to hit. People have been waiting for this one for a very long time. Cameron has been working on this one for years, and the little bit we have been able to see of it, looks amazing. Six new images from the movie hit the Internet just yesterday, and the excitement is only building.
As for 2012, this one will destroy the world starting November 13th. If you’re a fan of Grey’s Anatomy, you might have caught the sneak preview for that movie during last night’s episode.
