Celebrity Today

In the madness of yesterday, I forgot one very important thing. Yesterday, this blog Celebrity Today turned a year old. When I started this blog, I had a lot of plans for it. I had goals in mind. I worked hard to get people here. I worked too hard on this blog for a time. Hard enough that I made myself sick, and I had to learn how to balance this blog and my life because my health should come before any job. I had to take a step back and evaluate what I was doing.

With this blog, it is just me. I’m one blogger. Not a team of many. If I were a team of many you would see updates on here like you saw in the past. Posting six to seven times a day. As much as I loved to do that. As much as I wanted to do that. I couldn’t. However, this blog is still a priority to me. I like going out there and looking up the latest gossip. It’s fun for me. I would probably do it anyway, even if I didn’t write about it.

In the past year, I’ve learned a lot about blogging. What to do and what not to do. I’m still learning as I go, and I know at some point I’ll take all of that knowledge and put it to use even more than I am now. Celebrity Today is my baby in my ways though, and it is why I remain here to this day. So happy one year Celebrity Today.

It has been quite a year here in 2008. This blog has become my pride and joy since May. I put a lot of work into making this blog a source for celebrity and entertainment news. In the year to come, there will be changes made. A possible new direction for this site with more of a focus on news than reviews.

Those won’t disappear entirely, but I will change things around a bit. Some series won’t be returning or are heading towards the direction of cancellation. I want my focus to be on series everyone watches. In January, we will see the return of Lost and American Idol. Both will be covered on Celebrity Today. Things may be slow now, but this is only due to the time of year. Today.com is also in the middle of changes behind the scenes as well. Those will come in the weeks ahead.

Today I will be spending time with my family, and I wish all of you that do celebrate Christmas a very happy day spent with family and friends. To those that celebrate other December holidays, my best wishes go out to you as well.

In the last week, I started a new blog, The Paranormal World , that deals with all things paranormal and supernatural. Since these series deal with related topic, reviews of these series will now appear as episodes air on The Paranormal World . If you are a fan of my reviews for those shows, check out my posts there.

Thanksgiving has arrived. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is on my television, and some of the celebrities are out and about helping others celebrate their holidays before they run off to celebrate their own. Here at Celebrity Today, I am very thankful. I am thankful for my family and my ability to write which allows me to reach so many people out there every single day.  Now I am going to share a few things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving Holiday.

I am thankful for Grey’s Anatomy. This is one of my favorite series on air, and even with a lot of the bumps it has had along the way, it is still one of my favorite television shows. Not many series can make me laugh and then cry within only a ten minute period, and then do it again in the span of the same hour.

I am thankful for Lost. I am excited for its return in January, and I can’t wait to see what they do next in this series. It is a journey that is for sure! Lost Season 4 hits stores in December, and I am happy to announce I just received my own copy, and I will be reviewing it here for all of you.

I am thankful for Hugh Jackman. He is one of my favorite actors. A great looking man who is also humble, funny and a great man.

I am thankful it is almost 2009 because this year ahead will be a great year for movies, May especially. I am looking forward to the release of so many movies coming out in 2009 - Star Trek, Terminator Salvation, Origins: Wolverine, and The Time Traveler’s Wife come immediately to mind.

I am thankful for each single one of you out there that stops by my blog and share your thoughts with me. That is a big part of why I have this blog like I do. You make this something I love to do each and every single day. I love to share the entertainment and celebrity world with you daily, and I hope to continue to do so for quite some time to come.

In addition to my usual links around the web for today, I have announcement to make. I would like to introduce everyone to my newest Today.com blog, The Paranormal World. The paranormal and supernatural has always fascinated me. You might be able to tell that by some of the shows I review on this blog. Some of my reviews will be moved to The Paranormal World. Same content. New home. The journey over there is just beginning. I’ll keep you posted on what is happening as far as my reviews go in the near future. For now, check out, The Paranormal World .

Hello everyone that stops by Celebrity Today on a regular basis, either to read and drop or comment. When I started this blog back in May, I wasn’t sure where it would go, but I am very pleased to see those that come in and share their thoughts with me on the news and other items I post. As you saw already, I am jumping forward with more television reviews.

This began this past week with the premiere of 90210, and I have plans to cover several other series once they make their premieres in the weeks ahead. I’ll keep up with the other content as well. You will still find celebrity gossip, movie posters and trailers, and the latest movie and television news from Hollywood daily.

I am always trying to bring you the best of what I find, and I am always looking for new ideas. This is where I come to you, my readers. Is there something you would like to see more of on Celebrity Today? Maybe you like the occasional music video I post and want to see more? Maybe you want to see more candid pictures or more from magazines? Maybe there is a certain celebrity you would like to see more of.

I’m always here for you, and while I may not implement every idea, I will take it under consideration. In the weeks ahead, behind the scenes for me will be hectic as I prepare for a move of locale, but this blog and I are here for the duration. Don’t worry if things go silent for a few days. All of that is a part of the move, but I’m hoping to avoid leaving things here completely, even for a days, but we all know life doesn’t always work out like we want. Have a great day everyone. Over the past few days, I’ve received a few comments about Celebrity Today being recognized for awards from other bloggers. I am taking this moment now to thank them. I would have done it sooner, but I have been feeling just a bit under the weather. I enjoy everyone that stops by and jumps in with their thoughts. I do have some plans in the future to expand things, and make this blog, I hope, even better.More reviews once the fall season starts and the majority of the television series return for one. I have reviewed series in the past on a former blog, and so far people seem to enjoy my reviews of So You Think You Can Dance. These reviews will expand to cover some of the top television series across the various networks. I might even look to you out there to come on here with reviews of shows I don’t cover. That is still something I am pondering, but it is something I am seriously considering. There are other ideas, but all will be revealed in good time.

Let me talk about the awards. The first is an Arte Y Pico award rewarded to this site by chorva! The blogger chose me for well written entertainment coverage without the bashing. I try very hard to keep the bashing on this blog to a minimum. If I have an opinion, I will share it, but sometimes celebrities do things that need to be called out and made known that are just plain stupid. The same goes with the studios. If I think a potential movie project is one that shouldn’t be made for whatever reason, I will make my opinion known. I will make sure to always back up my comments with reasons why. Something that not many celebrity bloggers do. Thank you very much to chorva for recognizing me, and now it is my turn to pass on the torch to five other bloggers.
