This is one of those funnier stories from Hollywood for you holiday weekend, that is if you live in the US. Apparently one of the Harry Potter kids has come down with a case of the swine flu. A mild case, but a case nonetheless.
Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley, has taken a few days away from filming the next movie in the Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows because of the swine flu. This is just days before the premiere of the next Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
As we all can recall, that movie was set for release in November, but it was pushed back to a July release date, which is now fast approaching. The movie hits theaters in the US on July 15th. Grint will be present for the premiere. Best wishes to him for a speedy recovery. Are you playing to see Potter this month?
With Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen gearing up to be one of this summer’s biggest movies, Megan Fox is just about everywhere these days. She has hit the covers of both Esquire and Elle magazine in sexy photo shoots. The Elle pictures just hit the Internet today, while the sexy video from Megan’s from Esquire magazine hit over the weekend.
Who wouldn’t want to spend a morning waking up next to Megan Fox? I’m sure the line for that task would be out the door, right? You can check out the pictures from Elle below, and the video from her Esquire shoot as well. What do you think? Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hits in June.
Last week, we had an all new trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen released, and now three new character posters have been released. No, we don’t see Megan Fox in these. We don’t even see one human at all. The focus of these three posters are the robots that make the movie. We see Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, who are the stars of the show when it comes to the world of the transformers. You can check out all three posters below.
In other movie news, yesterday we had word of Wolverine 2 getting ready to hit the big screen, and now there is word that another X-Men movie is in this works. This time for Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds will take this one on it seems. What I really want to see is a Gambit movie. Taylor Kitsch truly made this role come alive on the big screen, and I want to see more of it. What do you think? Are you ready for more X-Men?
We are a little over a month away from the release of the new Star Trek movie from JJ Abrams, and the excitement is only building. The world premiere for the movie will take place on April 7th in Sydney, Australia, which is the home of one of the stars of the film, Eric Bana.
Many are wondering why the film is making its grand debut in Australia and not in Hollywood, and no real clear evidence has been given as to why. The event will be open to the public in limited fashion. In the past few days, we have had two new posters from Star Trek.
These are the final posters for the movie. You can check them out below. What do you think? Are you ready for Trek?
Another Monday has arrived, and now we know just who topped the box office this passed weekend. That honor went to Knowing. The movie starring Nicolas Cage and Rose Byrne pulled in $24 million at the box office followed closely behind by the other two new releases to theaters this weekend - Paul Rudd’s I Love You Man and Duplicity. A good weekend for the box office. No one really thought Race To Witch Mountain would somehow top the box office again. That movie came in fourth place with Watchmen stumbling all the way down into fifth place.
This week’s new releases include The Haunting in Connecticut, Monsters Vs. Aliens and The Accidental Husband. Reese Witherspoon has been out promoting herself and her role in Monsters Vs. Aliens a lot lately. She hit Europe last week, and she was seen out in LA over the weekend. The actress also celebrated her 33rd birthday with a party at boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal’s house. Monsters Vs. Aliens actually looks like it has potential, but to me Finding Nemo is still the best animated feature in my book.
Other new releases this week include the first season of In Treatment hitting DVD, and if you shop online using Amazon.com you can find the fourth season of Charles in Charge. Music wise we have new music from Pet Shop Boys, Royksopp, and a special re-release of Pearl Jam’s Ten. Check for a full list of new releases this week after the jump.
