Yes, we know  the Star Trek movie hasn’t even come out yet. That is just about a month away now, but we now know that there will already be a sequel to the new Star Trek movie made by JJ Abrams. Paramount has already hired three to put together a script for the sequel that they plan to bring to the big screen in 2011.

Yes, just two years away. Seems to be jumping the gun a bit, but Star Trek is set to be one of the biggest films of the year. I know I am beyond excited for it. However, there is really no telling just how well the movie will do until it is released on May 8th. Are you excited?

Another Monday morning has arrived, and that means we now know what movie topped the box office this weekend. Last week, that honor went to Knowing with Nic Cage and Rose Byrne. This week, that movie was bumped down into third spot by two of this week’s releases. Monsters Vs. Aliens from Paramount came in to theaters this week, and it blew the competition out of the water. It earned over $58 million at the box office, which means it made monster sized killing. The second place movie, The Haunting In Connecticut from Lionsgate didn’t even make half of the earnings Monsters Vs. Aliens did with a $23 million take. The  third film released this weekend, 12 Rounds, managed a 7th place finish with only $5.3 million in earnings.

This week there are several new movies hitting theaters. The biggest movie to hit theaters will be Fast & Furious, which brings back together the cast from the original movie, The Fast & The Furious. The film was originally set for a summer release date, but was bumped up to this week. Other movies hitting theaters this weekend include Adventureland, Alien Trespass and Sugar. As far as DVD releases go, we have Marley & Me and Slumdog Millionaire hitting store shelves this week along with the first season on In Plain Sight and first two seasons of California Dreams. Musically, Prince is ready to release three new albums. Last week, he hit Leno on three different nights to promote the release that is now available online, but will only be available in Target stores nation wide. We are a little over a month away from the release of the new Star Trek movie from JJ Abrams, and the excitement is only building. The world premiere for the movie will take place on April 7th in Sydney, Australia, which is the home of one of the stars of the film, Eric Bana.

Many are wondering why the film is making its grand debut in Australia and not in Hollywood, and no real clear evidence has been given as to why. The event will be open to the public in limited fashion. In the past few days, we have had two new posters from Star Trek.

Fans of Harry Potter are still anxiously waiting this summer’s release of their movie, Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince. The movie was originally set for a release in November 2008, but it was pushed back to July to help the summer line-up for Warner Bros.

It is currently coming out at a time The Dark Knight did last year, and we all know just how well The Dark Knight did at the box office. However, we really don’t know if it the date of release had anything to do with it, or if people came out to see the movie because of Heath Ledger’s tragic death.

You have to really give it to some women these days. Even those in their forties are looking good. Look at Jennifer Aniston and Cindy Crawford for example. Crawford hit a magazine just this week with a picture of her just covered in shaving cream. She is  forty-three years old.  At the age of forty-two, Halle Berry is one of the sexiest women in the world.

Now you have Valerie Bertinelli posing in a bikini on the cover of this week’s People Magazine. At forty-eight, she might not be one of the most sexiest women in the world, but she is definitely looking good in this photo shoot. She talks to the magazine about how she lost fifty pounds in order to get the body she has now.

She started her career back in 1970s on One Day At A time as the youngest daughter. She is probably best known for that role, and the fact she was once married to Eddie Van Halen. Check out the pictures of her in this week’s issue of People Magazine below. What do you think?

Jennifer Love Hewitt seems to have moved on from her relationship of three years, and it looks like co-star Jamie Kennedy is picking up the pieces quite nicely. The two have finally come out with their new romance in recent weeks, and it really didn’t take long for Love to find love again.

She ended her engagement back in December, shortly after Christmas. Rumors of her dating her Ghost Whisperer co-star started sometime in January, but Kennedy didn’t let the cat out of the bag until earlier this month in a radio interview. The two were last seen vacationing together in Mexico. Love is out in a bikini and enjoying a nap with the new boyfriend.

The on-again and off-again couple of John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston is off-again, and it looks like this time it is for good. Word now has it that Jennifer dumped John this time around, and the reason for the break in the relationship is Jennifer was tired of John spending more time on Twitter than with her.

Yes, you heard right. John’s Twittering caused a rift in their relationship. Jennifer seems to be doing well though. She isn’t looking for another relationship. In fact, she is looking to becoming a single mom, either by adoption or in-vitro fertilzation. She doesn’t need a man to have a child in her life. Go, Jen!

It seems even if you die, you still can get bit by the IRS. That is what happening in the case of Angelina’s mother. She died back in January 2007, and now the IRS is saying she owes taxes. About $63,000 in taxes, and the IRS has filed a claim to get their money! That number includes the back taxes and penalties.

Angelina has been busy filming Salt in DC and NYC in recent weeks, but I’m sure she had a few choice words for the IRS when she heard this news. The way I see it - the woman is dead. Another Monday has arrived, and now we know just who topped the box office this passed weekend. That honor went to Knowing. The movie starring Nicolas Cage and Rose Byrne pulled in $24 million at the box office followed closely behind by the other two new releases to theaters this weekend - Paul Rudd’s I Love You Man and Duplicity. A good weekend for the box office. No one really thought Race To Witch Mountain would somehow top the box office again. That movie came in fourth place with Watchmen stumbling all the way down into fifth place.

This week’s new releases include The Haunting in Connecticut, Monsters Vs. Aliens and The Accidental Husband. Reese Witherspoon has been out promoting herself and her role in Monsters Vs. Aliens a lot lately. She hit Europe last week, and she was seen out in LA over the weekend. The actress also celebrated her 33rd birthday with a party at boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal’s house. Monsters Vs. Aliens actually looks like it has potential, but to me Finding Nemo is still the best animated feature in my book.

Other new releases this week include the first season of In Treatment hitting DVD, and if you shop online using Amazon.com you can find the fourth season of Charles in Charge. Music wise we have new music from Pet Shop Boys, Royksopp,and a special re-release of Pearl Jam’s Ten. Check for a full list of new releases this week after the jump.

News out of Hollywood yesterday is that Bruce Willis married his girlfriend on Saturday.  The fifty-four year old actor has been dating thirty-two year old model Emma Heming for a year now, and the two married on Parrot Cay at Turks & Caicos. His ex-wife Demi Moore and her man Ashton Kutcher were both in attendance. Madonna was also at the nuptials.

In other relationship news, Harrison Ford has finally popped the question to long time girlfriend, Calista Flockhart. The two have been dating for seven years, and marriage rumors have been surrounding them for a few years now. Calista is currently starring in Brothers & Sisters on ABC, and Indiana Jones 5 is not far off for Ford. That is if it goes through with being made. Flockhart has openly said she hasn’t even seen any of the Star Wars films!

Congrats to both happy couples.
