As we get closer and closer to May, we only see more and more come out from the new movies set for release in that month. Star Trek is getting ready to release its newly update Star Trek Experience to those that visit the city of Las Vegas in the near future, and we keep getting more and more pictures from Origins Wolverine. X-Men Films has released three new pictures from the film featuring the star himself, Hugh Jackman.
Apparently, High has been busy once again promoting Australia. After hosting the Academy Awards last weekend, Hugh headed off to Japan, where we hear he had a wild night of karaoke with Robert Pattinson. The two made friends during the Oscars apparently. To be a fly on the wall of that karaoke bar with those two singing along. We know Hugh can sing, and apparently Robert can too from his the song on the Twilight soundtrack!

After all the engagement rumors that have popped up with these two over the last few months. They either engaged on a plane on their way to Boston or they didn’t. I lost count of how many false alarms these two have had in recent months, but all of that is now done. Tom Brady has finally made the male population of the world sad by taking supermodel Gisele Bundchen off the market.
The couple of been dating since 2006, and the engagement rumors started back in October 2008. The couple married on Thursday in a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles. Brady’s ex was in attendance with his son sitting in the front row. Gisele’s three dogs were even at the wedding wearing Dolce & Gobana lace collars. The bride also wore a Dolce & Gabana gown, ivory and strapless.
Congratulations to the happy couple! Best of luck to them both in their new lives together as husband and wife.
Kate Walsh is probably best known for her role of Addison Montgomery on Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. Addison recently returned to the halls of Seattle Grace for a three week long crossover, and soon after her appearance on that series, the rumors started that Addison might make a more permanent return to Grey’s Anatomy.
That series is known for more happening behind the scenes drama than on screen drama these days with Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight both on the bubble to possibly leave the series. Could Kate make a comeback to Grey’s? Would this put Private Practice out of business?
In this month’s edition of Redbook Magazine, Kate opens up about her life and her recent divorce. She divorced Alex Young after just after fifteen months of marriage.
I don’t think anyone gets married thinking that they will get divorced. We certainly did not. Alex and I still care for each other, and I wish him nothing but the best. The silver lining to this, however, is that I have a wonderful family and a great group of friends who really showed their support and encouragement, and for that I am truly grateful.

Single men everywhere can start getting ready for their shot at Megan Fox. Yes, sir. Megan Fox is single again! People Magazine announced yesterday that Brian Austin Green & Megan Fox had split up their relationship and their engagement after two years.
The split was a mutual decision. Brian Austin Green is currently seen on Fox’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Megan is set to next hit the big screen in Transformers: The Revenge of the Fallen and Jennifer’s Body. Earlier this month, we received a sneak peek at Megan in Jennifer’s Body covered in blood.
Transformer is set for release this June, while Jennifer’s Body has a September release date. Check out the image from that one below.
It seems like sequels, trilogies, and remakes are still all the rage in Hollywood these days. This is where I can once again go on that there are no original ideas in Hollywood anymore. Everything is just remade or keeps going on until it dies off. How many Rocky movies have we seen?
Friday the 13th was the latest remake to hit theaters, and we all saw what happened there. Everyone that wanted to go see it went to see it in the first week. We had $45.2 million at the box office, but in its second week, the film didn’t even crack $8 million in earnings.
For months now, there have been rumors of a Ghostbusters 3 to come, and now it looks like that one is going ahead with shooting to begin sometime this fall. This is coming straight from Dan Aykyroyd himself. The writers behind The Office are penning this one.
In other sequel news, Twilight’s Eclipse and Shrek 4 are also in the works it seems. Eclipse is set for 2010 release date. They are wasting no time are they?!
Another Monday has arrived, and this is the big Monday following the Academy Awards. Hollywood was out last night, as Australian actor Hugh Jackman hosted the event from the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. It was a big night for Hollywood with Slumdog Millionaire sweeping the awards with eight wins, including Best Picture. Heath Ledger also made big with his win for his role in The Dark Knight, which was accepted by his family during the event last night. Many are wondering if he received the win because of his death, but the fact of the matter is he did win. As for The Dark Knight, it has become the fourth film to pass the billion dollar mark, as it gets closer to sinking Titanic. You can check out the full list of last night’s winners below.
As for this weekend’s box office, last week belonged to Jason, as he slashed his way to the top. This week, Friday the 13th, dropped out of the top spot, and even out of the top five as the film landed in sixth place with only a fraction of its earnings from the first week. This week’s number one was Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes To Jail with just over $41 million earned at the box office. The other new release this weekend, Fired Up, came in at ninth place with just $6 million in earnings at the box office.
As for new releases coming out this week, we see The Jonas Brothers take their concert experience to theaters, along with Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li. On DVD, we have The Haunting of Molly Hartley, and a number of television offerings hitting DVD including the complete series of Canterbury’s Law for those that missed it when it aired on Fox and was quickly cancelled. This summer is starting to look better and better. I am excited for the month of May with three of the biggest movies of the summer heading into theaters in that month alone - Star Trek, Origins: Wolverine and Terminator Salvation. There are other movies to look forward to though, and one of them heads to theaters on July 31st.
This movie being the next movie from Judd Apatow, the man behind the Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin. His next one, Funny People, stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, and Eric Bana, and the first trailer for that movie hit the Internet back on Friday.
For Star Trek fans, a new featurette from that film has also hit the Internet. That one is set for release on May 8th, and what connects these two together? The both star actor Eric Bana. In Trek, he plays the villain Nero, and in Funny People, he plays Clarke, the husband to the one that got away from Adam Sandler. Check out both below.
Quentin Tarintino’s next movie is still months away from release, but we are starting to get bits and pieces of what the movie will look like. This one brings Brad Pitt back to the big screen along side Diane Kruger, among others. The movie tells the account of a group that goes into Nazi occupied France to fight against the German. Brad Pitt plays Lt. Aldo Raines, the leader of the Basterds.
This week, Brad was seen in Las Vegas, as he took Pax and Maddox on a little boys trips, while Angelina Jolie stayed in New York with the girls. Now Brad has been seen back in Los Angeles, as he prepares to attend the Academy Awards on Sunday. These awards plan to be different with Hugh Jackman hosting the party in Hollywood.

It has been almost two weeks since the incident that landed Chris Brown arrested and Rihanna in the hospital. Somehow TMZ was able to obtain a picture of Rihanna taken the night of the incident by the Los Angeles Police Department. The picture shows just how severe her injuries. Since the release of the picture, the LAPD has started an investigation into the release of the picture. It was done without authorization.
As for Rihanna, today is the singer’s twenty-first birthday. She has been recovering in her home of Barbados since shortly following the incident with Brown. You can see the picture of her injuries as obtained and released by TMZ below. Happy Birthday to Rihanna! Hopefully she is on her way to full recovery.
Megan Fox was caught out and about in Los Angeles this week as she left the Ken Paves Salon. One lucky photographer was able to catch these pictures of the actress looking simple and sexy, as she wore a pair of jeans and a tank top.
The actress is happily engaged to Brian Austin Green from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which returned to Fox last Friday to low ratings. Yes, Friday is a dead zone for television, but the black hole seems to always center on Fox, where the series airs.
