Michael Jackson Sells His Glove

This is a sad day. Really, people. How bad off must Michael Jackson be if he has to put his famous Billy Jean glove up for sale. This glove is a part of who he is, and why people fell in love with him. Some might call it a piece of music history. He wore it on stage and during performances, including his famous performance at Motown’s 25th Anniversary. Now it is going up for auction in April.
The King of Pop’s possessions will be on display before the auction begins on April 21, 2009. Bids will be accepted in person and online. The sale is to be broadcast live on Auction Network. Jackson plans to donate a portion of the proceeds to MusiCares, a charitable organization founded by the Recording Academy to help musicians in need.
The economy is hitting everyone I guess! Check out Jackson and the glove in action in the performance below. Oh the memories!
