The nominations for the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced early this morning in Hollywood. We really have no big surprises here. In the movie categories, it looks like Brad Pitt scored big with The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. He was nominated for Best Actor, and the film was nominated in the category for Best Drama. Burn After Reading was also nominated in the comedy category.

In the television categories, True Blood came out and received some recognition as well with nominations for best television series and a nomination for best actress for Anna Paquin. Heath Ledger was also nominated for his role in The Dark Knight in the best supporting actor category. However, this is the only nomination The Dark Knight received. I think Neil Patrick Harris is positively spectacular on How I Met Your Mother. It is one of the few scripted shows I watch, and definitely the only sitcom.
