X-Files I Want To Believe hit store shelves Tuesday on DVD, and now the man behind the movie is speaking out about how well it wasn’t received at the box office. X-Files 2 came out just a week after The Dark Knight, and it was still riding high on its box office domination.

Now Frank Spotnik is blaming The Dark Knight for the lack of box office sales for his movie. Some say it isn’t the fact The Dark Knight was released. I think X-Files 2 appealed mostly for fans of the series. However, it didn’t have any broad appeal to bring in more fans.

What do you think? Can X-Files: I Want To Believe blame the The Dark Knight?
