George Clooney on Prop 8 & ER

george_clooney.jpg

ER airs a special episode tonight as we see three former series regular return to the emergency room - Dr. Greene, Dr. Weaver and Dr. Romano. Rumors have been flying about as many are wondering if George Clooney will make an appearance before the series shuts down its fifteen season run. The actor has been being vocal on other matters though. He is the latest to speak out on the passion of Prop 8 in California. He had the following to say when he spoke to The Awful Truth:

At some point in our lifetime, gay marriage won’t be an issue, and everyone who stood against this civil right will look as outdated as George Wallace standing on the school steps keeping James Hood from entering the University of Alabama because he was black.

As for ER, he has said he will do it if he can find the time. However, time is running out. The series has only six more episodes left to shoot. Come on, George! Come back for us. We want to see Doug Ross just one last time.
