Recap & Review: Things are never easy when it comes to the Walker family. We learn that again and again with each new episode. Even an anniversary party for Tommy and Julia causes havoc in this family. The main focus of this week’s episode is the party, and the fact George Lafferty might actually consider telling Ryan about his family. He is on the fence with it, and Nora decides to sneak him into the party to meet the family as her date, Elton Richards. She wants to see the family that Ryan would be joining.

He does come with her to the party, and the family immediately has questions about this new man in their mother’s life. They all know everything about her, so a new boyfriend comes as a surprise. He isn’t her new boyfriend though. Everything is going well until Kitty shows up at the party and blows his cover. Everyone knows who he is, and this almost causes another Walker family blowout in the middle of the party.

They all hold back though shockingly enough, and it looks like it will all work out for the better until George meets Holly. A few stolen moments with her, and he has once again changed his mind. He doesn’t want Ryan to know. You have to wonder just what she said to him to change his mind. He leaves the party and Nora is left confused at his quick departure.

Opening mouths and saying things they probably shouldn’t is not only Holly’s problem this week. Kitty also opens her mouth when she shouldn’t. Her and Robert finally meet their birth mother. It turns out she is a surgeon in her second year, and her career is her main focus. This reminds Kitty of her own life, and her own choices. It forces her to question the birth mother on whether or not she may change her mind. This angers the birth mother, and she changes her mind on giving Robert and Kitty the baby when it is born.

This angers Robert, and even when Kitty tries to fix it there is no hope. The birth mom has already made arrangements to find a new couple. Robert is dealing with other issues as well though. Kevin as started to work for him, and the two clash. Kevin is made to fix a problem in which it looks like Robert might be having an affair. He isn’t, and Kevin uses an unorthodox way to work around the story. Something that also angers Robert. However, it works out fine in the end.

We also see issues with young love as Rebecca and Justin have problems saying their first I love you’s. This seems silly to fight over, but that is just what these two do. Complicating things seems to be this family’s job. Not only that, but Sarah is also adjusting to her new job and her co-workers. They are way more laid back than she is used to. They do figure out a way to work together through compromise.

With this series, there really is never a dull moment. If it isn’t one problem, it is another. This series has a great mix of personalities and characters that always guarantee a good time for all.
