Recap & Review: Last week, we saw Bill leave with the rest of the local vampires, and they were killed by some of the men in Bon Temps. A fourth body is found with them, and Sookie needs to know if that body belongs to Bill. That is where we begin this week. She then returns home to clean up another mess. Across town, Tara is waking up to a new day. Her mother is a new woman. No more drinking. This is wonderful for her. Jason is still in bed with his new friend as well after a night of V blood and sex. At least that is what he thinks. She tells him otherwise. He then tells her about what happened to his parents too.
Sookie and Tara end up fighting once Tara goes to tell Sookie about her mother. Sookie is upset, and this only makes things worse. She throws Tara out, and it looks like these two are about to end their friendship. Sookie thinks Tara only thinks about herself. Sam has his own issues when a friend confronts him about the fact he saw him running naked through the woods. Sam denies that of course. That night a storm a hits, and Sookie waits for Bill to show. When he doesn’t she assumes the worse. She thinks he is dead, and she goes to put flowers on his grave.
He isn’t dead though. She is surprised by him when he crawls out of a grave, and the two have quite the sexual encounter without waiting any. He then once again feeds on her. She arrives at work late in great spirits, but all is well there. Jason’s new girlfriend is now working at Merlotte’s. Sookie tries to warn her about Jason, but the new girl doesn’t listen to Sookie. Instead, she stands up for Jason. Sookie offers to babysit for her friend at the bar. Bill helps her babysit while she is off being proposed too.
The next day, Sam has to fend off more questions about his naked run. He and Tara are moving forward in their relationship, but with them it is one step forward and two steps back. When Sam finds Sookie taking B-12 vitamins, he is angry. He really doesn’t like the fact Sookie is dating Bill now. As for vampire blood, Jason’s girlfriend needs more V, and he is going to help her get it. They go to Lafayette’s while he is out on a date with his vampire. This is the source of his vampire blood.
As for Bill, he takes Sookie to the vampire bar after Eric asks for Sookie’s help. He wants her to read the mind of a man to help him find out who stole money from the vampire bar. If he didn’t do it, someone else did. Eric brings in one after another until Sookie finds the man. It is Eric’s bartender. Jason and his new girlfriend go to vampire’s house after Lafayette leaves. She kidnaps the vampiere and has Jason help. This is not what he had planned.
There are only four episodes left in this season, and this series only gets stranger and stranger. Sex from the grave, kidnapping vampires, vampire theives, and a total 180 in Bill from last episode. He and Sookie are more of a couple now. It seems the death of the other vampires has freed him in some way. Next week, we’ll have to see if Sookie is turned vampire.
