ER Says Good-bye To Abby
Something a little bit different tonight than my usual movie poster and trailer. Those will be back tomorrow night. Tonight, ER said good-bye to one of the longest running of its remaining characters, Abby Lockhart.
Abby joined the series back in season six, and she is play by actress Maura Tierney. Abby has certainly had a time of it. She has been the other half of two major romances, dealt with alcoholism, became a doctor and a lot of other things during her nine year run. All of that came to an end tonight as Abby leaves Chicago for Boston to be with her husband.
A sad day for fans of ER. The final curtain on that series will fall at the end of this season. Check out some pictures and a video containing some of Abby’s best moments from ER over the years below.
It hit me while watching her leave County General for the last time tonight why this show is so good and why it’s had this staying power. They have such great characters!
