Zac Efron, star of High School Musical and Hairspray, is featured on the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s Photo issue. The actor was just overseas promoting High School Musical 3 with girlfriend Vanessa and friends, but on this cover he is looking hot. He opens up to the magazine about his life. Even with the press and fans surrounding him, the actor has managed to live a modest lifestyle. Just in London, he was attacked by a male fan. He has now returned the US, landing in Los Angeles on Thursday.

During the interview, he joined some of the EW staff and played RockBand, taking on the drums. The young actor also spoke about his transition from teen heartthrob to more serious roles in the interview.

I would love to just sit down and talk with Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp and pick their brains about their early careers, They do it because they love it, not because they enjoy being famous. You have to have good foresight and be really careful. If you don’t adapt and learn at a very young age, you can really mess up.
