Review: Last week, Mode say the return of Daniel, Wilhemina got the boot, and we saw Christina pushed down the stairs. All of this, plus the usual Suarez family drama as Betty found out Hilda was having an affair with a married Coach Diaz. This week, the focus us on just who pushed Christina down the stairs at the end of last week’s episode. The episode opens with Betty being questioned by the cops. When she is asked about Daniel’s location at the time of the incident, we then jump to six hours earlier. We get to see Betty start her day at home and at Mode. Daniel tells her he left the party early. She then finds out about Christina when Mark makes an announcement. However, the baby she is carrying is fine. Wilhemina wants the person behind the attack found.

This is where we return to Betty being questioned. She tells the truth about Daniel leaving the party early and asking her to lie. This leads the officer to think Daniel is responsible for the attack. Betty goes home to visit her family, and she ends talking to Hilda about Coach Diaz. Hilda asks her sister for the key to her apartment. She needs a place to spend some time alone with Tony. The next morning at Mode, the cops come to question Daniel, and after they find his one of kind sneakers, they take him into custody for the attack of Christina. Wilhemina visits Christina at the hospital, and she uses her as PR for her own benefit. Meanwhile, Daniel tries to convince Betty of his innocence.

Hilda is at Betty’s apartment with Tony, and when she leaves Tony to shower she returns to find her father and Tony together. Tony tries to get dressed, but in the process he drops his wedding ring. This lets the affair out of the bag. Christina talks to Betty, and she tells her that she thinks Stuart might have been the one to push her down the stairs. Betty convinces her to tell the police. Stuart and Betty talk, and he tells her the treatment Christina worked for him to get failed, and that is the reason he is back on drugs, to fight the pain. Betty keeps working to free Daniel. She tries to find the security tapes, but they are gone. She then goes to Mode and she finds out Mark might have pushed Christina, and he had seen Claire fighting with Christina.

Betty questions Claire, and she finds out that Claire had a few too many drinks. Christina and Alexis help her to the ladies room. Mark and Amanda keep up the interrogations with Betty. They learn a lot about the staff of Mode in the process, but instead of clearing Daniel it starts to make it look like he really did it. When Betty finds the security tape in Daniel’s things, and she really begins to think he did it. She returns home, and her father convinces her to watch the tape to find out what happened. When she does, she finds out Daniel is innocent and having an affair that might jeopardize his custody of Daniel Jr. By talking to him, she finds out Alexis is the one responsible for Christina’s fall.

Betty confronts her on it, and Alexis confesses to her. She tells her every last details, explaining it as some moment of temporary insanity. Alexis confesses to all, and she decides to surrender to the cops. Before she goes, she lets out one more family secret. Alexis is Daniel Jr’s father. Another amazing episode full of twists, turns and secrets. What do you think of the episode?

I think I’m very glad I have my computer for company so I don’t have to watch Ugly Betty! It’s just not my cup of tea :)

I’m afraid that the name of this show has always turned me off to the point that I’ve never watched an episode.

    Sorry.

I used to enjoy this show but it’s gotten too complicated and weird for me. I love the character of Betty and her family and co-workers added just the right touch. But all of this drama has gotten out of hand IMHO.

Nice write up and review though!
