Review: Last season, ended with a few shocking revelations for the Walker family. Rebecca didn’t turn out to be a Walker after all, Scotty and Kevin married, Kitty decided to adopt with her husband, the family company ended up in the hands of Holly, and Sarah and Kevin found out they might have a brother instead of a sister they thought they had. All of this before Justin and Rebecca ended up as a couple at the end of the season finale.
This season starts off with Sarah writing a glowing letter of recommendation for Kitty on her quest for adoption. Kitty doesn’t think Sarah wrote it herself, and we learn that she didn’t. Nora wrote the glowing letter for Sarah. Meanwhile, it appears the Walker clan doesn’t know that Rebecca and Justin are an item. As for the business side of things, Holly and Tommy make a critical business decision about the company. They want to get rid of the legal team, and this would put Kevin out of a job at Ojai Foods.
Sarah and Kevin are working on finding out about the new Walker brother, while they are trying to keep this new fact in their life secret from everyone. In order to cover it up when Kitty catches them talking, Kevin has to invite everyone to his romantic getaway spot. It turns into a Walker party. At lunch, Sarah does nothing but complain about her life, while Kitty questions her on the letter. No one is happy that Kevin is set to be fired, and Nora goes to Holly about it. A confrontation that doesn’t end up going well at all. All of this happens before the two youngest Walker’s catch Rebecca and Justin making out.
The family arrives in Laguna, and we all know that a Walker get together never goes perfectly. Kevin is about to be partner, and he has no idea he is about to be fired from Ojai. Nora tries to talk Tommy about it, and she learns that Holly had nothing to do with firing Kevin. It was all Tommy’s idea. Kevin is on cloud nine though. He sends the sisters outside, while he steals a moment with Scotty. Kitty confronts Sarah on the letter, and Sarah breaks down and tells Kitty about their new brother. All of this before a crash is heard inside. The kids break a priceless item, but Justin covers for them.
The next crash comes when the family explodes after Kitty confronts Nora on the letter. All of the secrets being hidden come out. Everyone finds out about Ryan. Justin tells everyone about him and Rebecca, and Sarah puts the final nail into the coffin by telling Kevin he is fired. Everyone parts ways, and Tommy goes to look for Kevin. They talk, but it doesn’t go well. It doesn’t go well with Rebecca and Justin either. She’s upset he told. Sarah decides to show up on Kitty’s doorstep to talk, but she isn’t even let in. Kitty needs to work out their relationship in her own head. As for Rebecca and Justin, the two are able to talk and work things out. The same can’t be said for Kitty and Sarah. Kitty no longer trusts her sister, but that is partially solved when Kitty reads Sarah’s own letter.
Brothers & Sisters is family drama at its best. No one is left out. We follow the lives of this one complex family each and every week, and there isn’t a quiet moment. This series is one of the best on ABC, and I am so glad to see it back on Sunday night. What did you think of this week’s episode?

Well I don’t watch it on a regular basis but I did see it last night. What I liked was the complexity of the characters and how the interact with each other. I just may check it out again next week. Thanks.
