Two Face Is Dead

harvey-dent.jpg

For weeks now, there has been rumors surrounding a possible third installment in the new Batman franchise. The Dark Knight has passed $500 million since its release in July, and a third movie is almost entirely assured. Many names have been thrown about as potentials for the next movie. Everyone from Angelina Jolie and Cher to Johnny Depp. Some said Two Face would make a return in the next film, but Aaron Eckhart has now come out and made it clear that his role in the Batman franchise is done.

Two Face otherwise known as Harvey Dent is dead. Johnny Depp talked about his appearing at the Riddler, and he seemed open to it, but he hasn’t been approached yet. I would actually love to see a third Batman. There is still so much to tell when it comes to this story, whether we have Harvey Dent or not. The Joker was set to make a comeback in the next film, but now that isn’t going to happen. Who will the next villain be? Who do you want to see?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Eckhart is just pulling our leg. Two Face is two cool a villain to only be in a movie for thirty minutes. In my version, he and the Joker play prominent roles in the next one alongside Rha’s al Ghul, Bane, the Riddler, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and the Ventriloquist. Gotham City is a war zone and we’re alluded to the fact that the Dark Knight will need some allies to combat this new era of villains.

I intend to give my full thoughts on the next film (if that wasn’t detailed enough for you) on a future post on my blog.

I want to see some more heroes hit our screens and some oriental villains. Now that could be quite spicy.

I thought they left it sort of ambiguous, but maybe it was a red herring. If they can make the Riddler as cool as the Joker (in other words, not th eJim Carrey variety) I’d love to see him in the next film.
