Isaac Hayes Dead At 65
News this afternoon broke that soul singer Isaac Hayes was found dead in his Memphis, Tennessee home on Sunday. He was found next to his treadmill. Attempts to revive him failed. The singer is probably best known for singing the theme to the 1971 movie Shaft. In recent years, he did voice work for South Park, but that ended in 2006.
First Bernie Mac, and now Isaac Hayes. This is a sad weekend in the world of Hollywood. My thoughts go out to his family. As an artist, Hayes will be missed by many. Check out Hayes singing Shaft below. Share any thoughts you have of this man and his life in comments.

I think Issac Hayes did the theme music for the Bernie Mac show. I know he guest starred on it in the episode with India.Irie
Both Isaac and Bernie are also set to appear together in Soul Men. That movie will be released later this fall.
I saw Issac H. in concert when I was younger. He was great! He has such a sexy voice. At the concert he was called “Black Moses”. He is one of a kind! Prayers go out to his family.
