Bana Tames The Beast
News from Variety this week is Eric Bana is taking a turn behind the camera and bringing a documentary to life. The documentary will focus on the relationship he’s had with his 1974 Ford Falcon Coupe. Yes, one source put it as a movie with just ‘Bana getting sexy with his car.’ Dr. Phil also makes an appearance. There is said to be comedic elements as well. The project had been kept tightly under wraps until just this week.
Bana purchased the car when he was just fifteen years old, and he’s restored it twice. A third restoration is in the process as he crashed the car in 2007 in a race. Love The Beast will hit Australian movie screens in 2009. It’s good to see a simple man that enjoys his family, his job, his car and stays mostly out of the Hollywood spotlight.
Eric Bana next hits the big screen in The Time Traveler’s Wife this Christmas and Star Trek XI in May 2009. In other news, the actor turns forty today.
Eric Bana does not get the press he deserves. He was amazing in Troy, and he was the only thing good about the first Hulk movie.
Someone needs to come along with a good action movie for this guy and help make him the star he deserves to be.
