First Friday the 13th, Now Elm Street?

Published by Regina Avalos at 8:31 am under Celebrity News, Movies Edit This

nightmare6.jpgWe all know a new Friday the 13th is set for release in February 2009. Now word out of Comic Con this week is that there might be another horror movie remake on the horizon. Shock You Til You Drop has word that we might see the return of Freddy Krueger to the big screen in an all new remake.

However, Wes Craven will not be involved with this one. In fact, he was also at Comic Com doing another panel, and he hadn’t even heard about the possibility of a remake. This received some negative comments and actions from those in audience.

I know I am not the only one that is getting tired of all these remakes. Nightmare on Elm Street, the original movie, is a classic horror film to me. The movies in the series that followed didn’t have nearly the same bite or feeling as the original did. They were fun and campy. Not as scary. The original was a favorite of mine. They need to start leaving these movies online, or as the song from the movie goes - 1,2: Freddy’s coming for you …

A Nightmare on Elm Street remake is not set in stone yet, but with the amount of remakes being made these days. Anything is possible. What do you think?
