Wow! What a film. I agree - Heath Ledger did a much better job of Joker than Jack Nicholson. And I'm not saying that as a fan of Heath - I pay pretty much *zero* attention to celebs and quite honestly don't have a clue if I've ever seen him in another movie or not. But as for this movie, he was fantastic. And oh so believable. Oh but Christian Bale...*sigh* If I wasn't married, I think I'd move to Hollywood and start stalking that man. LOL!!! Just kidding. But he is an absolute hottie. Definitely my favorite Batman. Loved the movie. We are definitely buying it on DVD when it comes out! Heath Ledger portrayed the deepest, darkest, most accurate (IMO) interpretation of the Joker that's ever been brought to film. He was magnificent. That beign said, Christian Bale is love :-) He's by far my favorite Batman with Michael Keaton being a close second. What I like about Bale's Batman is that he's scrappier and some of Bruce Wayne's sadness and angst comes through even when he's wearing the mask. This movie did not disappoint me one bit. My only qualm is about seeing it in IMAX, which I did (at my husband's insistence). It was a bit much on the senses and I should have learned my lesson from seeing the last Harry Potter in IMAX. I had a headache for the longest just from the last 20 minutes of that one. I saw it this morning and LOVED!!! it!
