So You Think You Can Dance: Into The Top Ten
This week heats things up as set ourselves up for the halfway mark in this season’s So You Think You Can Dance. Two more dancers are sent home by the judges, and the ones exiting this week are really no great surprise after their performances Wednesday night. With only six couples left in the competition, it really is a case of anyone being able to go home. We definitely saw this last night.
This week’s bottom three consists of two couples that have been there before, and a new arrival in the bottom three. Comfort and Thayne hit the bottom three first, and they were followed by Jessica and Will. Last into the bottom three this was Twitch and Kherington, who were great in their first performance last night, but they faltered in their second. The solos came out, ad each of them were powerful, but the last two performances were definitely great to see. As hard as it was to see Twitch and Kherington in the bottom three couples, these two were able to show America just how well the two of them can dance.
After a performance by Katy Perry, the judges return with who they are sending home. The girls are brought forward first, and Kherington is quickly told to sit down after her brilliant solo. Comfort and Jessica are left, and these two both performed less than good. Even with a good solo for Comfort, a disappointing solo for Jessica, Nigel tells Jessica she is staying this week. Her brilliant performance this week in one of her routines last week saved her.
As for the guys, Twitch is brought forward first, and just like his partner, he is sent off stage safe this week. Nigel mentions that seeing him in the bottom three is a wake-up call for America to vote, especially with the decision going to America with the top ten. Will is also sent safe this week. This means we’ve lost Thayne, who has done well in this competition, but in comparison to the other two, he was the logical choice to go home this week. Will and Twitch are two of the most talented dancers this season. Did your favorites stick around this week? Check out below for a list of songs used on tonight’s show.
