Harry Potter like Trainspotting?

That is what I read, and I’m just sitting here trying not to laugh. I’m not the biggest Harry Potter fan out there. I’ve only watched one of the films, and I have been nowhere near the books, but we have the next Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, set to hit theaters in November. Promotion is already starting up now though, and Daniel Radcliffe is on the cover of Empire Magazine this week.

In the interview, he says that in this movie  “there’s a fair amount of sexual energy and drug parallels.” Am I the only one scratching my head here? Harry Potter is a movie marketed to kids and teenagers. Do you think it is very smart of Radcliffe to make this comparison and mention there is a lot of sex and drugs. Mind you this movie probably has a tamer version of it, but still parents out there might think twice about taking their kids to the movie.

Check out the cover and some new stills from the movie released just this week by Warner Bros. Click on the stills to see them full size.
