So You Think You Can Dance: Top 16 Perform
Here we are with another Wednesday passed, and it is time to find out how the top eight couples performed on this week’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance. This week Adam Shankman joined judges Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe with his comments. Speaking of Mary Murphy, am I the only one annoyed by how hyper she is. Let’s talk about tonight’s performances.
Twitch and Kherington - Don’t Touch Me (Throw Da Water on Them) by Busta Rhymes - These two picked hip hop out of the hat this week, which we know is Twitch’s style. His partner needed to come out and match him. I think she did that. Hip hop isn’t her style. The routine was just fun to watch, and the judges loved them.
Courtney and Gev - Wishing On A Star by Rose Royce - These two had an amazing contemporary performance last week, and this week they ended up with a rumba routine. Before I talk about their performance, let’s talk about Courtney’s dress. Am I the only one that thought that dress was a clothing malfunction in the making. Luckily, it didn’t happen. These two heated things up for me. The way she looked at him was totally in character, and the judges loved this performance as well.
Comfort and Chris - Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson - These two were in the bottom three last week, and they need to step it up this week if they don’t want to be there again this week. These two picked jazz out of the hat, and they had a sheet as as a prop, and I have to say these two just killed it. They did amazing in my eyes, but the judges weren’t totally feeling the performance. Nigel actually used the word disappointed. These two might end up in the bottom three again this week.
Jessica and Will - Heaven Must Have Sent You by Bonnie Pointer - These two take on disco this week after performing hip hop last week. The judges were quite hard on Jessica, and in rehearsals Jessica was definitely not focusing on the routine. To me this showed in her performance. Will stood out once again, but something was off with Jessica to me. The judges did have some comments on their performance. Both good and bad. Mary said this performance was a turning point.
Kourtni and Matt - Wrestlers (Sticky, Dirty Pop Mix) by Hot Chip - These two are my favorites this season, and they have been since week one. This week they are performing a fun looking contemporary routine, and they just made me love them even more. The judges absolutely loved them as well. Matt was just told to lighten up a bit.
Chelsea and Thayne - You Can’t Hurry Love by Phil Collins - Another couple that needs to step it up this week after being in the bottom three last week. Will they be able to do it with a quick step? This is a fast dance, but they pulled it off. However, the judges did have some criticism for them. They didn’t show enough personality in Nigel’s eyes.
Chelsie and Mark - Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis - These two ended up with a hip hop routine Chelsie herself called sick. That is a good thing! And sick they were. These two got into character and they just both did absolutely amazing. The judges loved them as well. Best dance of the night anyone?
Katee and Joshua - Baila, Baila by Angela Via - These two are our last performance of the night, and they have done well the last two weeks. This week they have to shine again with a samba performance, and they did. These two have chemistry and passion, and this performance came in as my second favorite for the night. The judges also loved these two.
Which of these couples will make it to the bottom three tomorrow night? Who are your favorites? Let me know what you think!

Courtney and Gev are my favorite couple. They look soooo good together.
Plus they have such great chemistry and connection. The are the show’s cutest couple, this season.
I would have to say that I really don’t have a favorite quite yet.
I missed a couple of the dances last night and with 15 min till the show I wont be able to re-watch it till later..
This is my favorite show..!!!!
Katee and Joshua were so hot last night - their performance was my favorite. They definitely deserved the hot tamale train treatment!
