My Fair Knightley
The word from Hollywood this weekend via Coming Soon is that Keira Knightley looks to be in talks to star in the next big screen remake. Yes, another one! How many sequels and remakes have we seen lately? To be honest, you have to wonder why they keep going back in time to grab at old ideas and trying to make them new again. This time they are making a new My Fair Lady. Columbia and CBS Films are working together on this project, and Duncan Kenworthy and Cameron Mackintosh are set to produce. Daniel Day-Lewis is in talks to co-star with Knightley.
No word on when this would hit the big screen yet, but if more details become available I’ll be sure to let you know. I’m personally not a big fan of Knightley myself. I never really did see her appeal. I’m probably one of the few that hasn’t seen the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. I catch pieces of it here and there on cable when one of them is on, but I haven’t sat down and made a conscious effort to watch one of the three.
Sequels and remakes do keep coming back though. This makes think of this question. Which sequel or remake would you actually like to see made? I’m personally excited for the sequel to the V miniseries. Anyone remember that show? If you’re an 80s kid like me, you remember V. Yes, they have a sequel ready to hit, and a lot of our favorites from the original have returned for it. I read the book for it a few months ago, and I think they had a good idea worthy of a return.

I think the remake with her in it, would be a great update from the older version.
