Eric Bana In Next Apatow Film?
That is the word this morning out of Hollywood. Eric Bana has been approached to star in the next Apatow feature film. This next film will take a look at stand-up comics. Bana started out as comic back in his home of Australia, so this is an area he has some knowledge in. Apparently, the actor is also in talks to once again play the role of King Henry Viii in a sequel to his release this year, The Other Boleyn Girl. The Boleyn Inheritanceis the next book in the series by Philippa Gregory, and it takes a look at Tudor life from the next two wives of King Henry. It appears Bana would be willing to reprise his role. We will have to wait and see if the project moves forward. This goes along with what Showtime has decided to do for their series, The Tudors. That series will continue on through six seasons and show each of Henry’s wives. As for the yet to be titled Apatow feature, that film would hit the big screen on July 31st, 2009. Judd Apatow is the man behind such hits as Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin.
This is only a couple of months after Eric Bana hits the screen with the long awaited Star Trekmovie by JJ Abrams. Zoe Saldana spoke briefly about the release earlier this week, but she didn’t give away much detail away other than she does wear an eye-catching miniskirt in her role as Lt. Uhura. Next up for Bana is The Time Traveler’s Wifewith Rachel McAdams. He has been seen in Troy, Munich, and Ang Lee’s Hulk. In a Hulkrelated sidenote, it was announced this week that Lou Ferrigno is the man behind the voice of Hulk in this summer’s movie release. Ferrigno played the green monster in the television series back in the 1970s.
