Britney & Mel: The Odd Couple!
No, Britney Spears is not dating Mel Gibson. The man is married, but Mel Gibson and his wife have opened up their home to the young woman and her family for a few days of rest and relaxation. Britney headed off with him on Thursday morning, and she is taking her father Jamie along for the short vacation. Britney does seem to have calmed down just a bit in recent weeks. Earlier this week, I reported on this blog that she was involved in a small car accident. Video of the incident can be found online. She has been seen in Costa Rica since her arrival enjoying some fun in the sun in a tiny bikini. Not sure that was her best fashion choice, but she doesn’t care much about fashion these days, does she? She has been trying though. It is said she has even apologized to her friends and family for her behavior, and she has been approached by the Palms Hotel in Vegas to do a series of six concerts. Things may be looking up for the singer.
