Matthew McConaughey’s mom is opening up and telling all about her son in a new book. One little tidbit the mom has come clean about is the way her husband died. At least he would die with a smile on his face.

He talks about becoming a father, and some future projects he has in mind. We already heard about him wanting to make a prequel to this new Fast & Furious movie covering the period between the first film and this one for his character and Michelle Rodriguez’s character as well. The Chronicles of Riddick was disappointing at the box office, but two sequels that were planned years ago still might be made. Diesel spoke about this to MTV, so we will have to wait and see.

Even with a number of new movies out this past weekend, Tropic Thunder somehow managed to stay on top for the second week in a row. They earned an estimated $16.1 million at the box office, which when you look at the recent successes other openers have had this summer, the number is quite low. It was a close call though because one new release was close on Tropic Thunder’s heels.
The House Bunny, the latest release from Anna Faris, came in second place with an estimated $15.1 million in box office receipts. Death Race, another new release this weekend, came in third place, while The Dark Knight came in fourth. Overseas, The Dark Knight is still coming out on top in box office numbers there.
